I got some results from some blood work yesterday.

Things are good. Much better than 2013. My cholesterol is back in the healthy range! In 2013, it was well over 200. Whew! My blood pressure is also back in the normal range, as is my pulse. The hard work is paying off even if the scale isn't moving!

That means, other than being on the very heavy side, I'm doing good. My body is still doing what it needs to do.

I went to cycle class today. I haven't been a years. It was a good class and good workout. I am proud of how well I did. I bought myself a spark goodie.

The other days I jogged around the pond at work. It has some small hills. It is a half mile loop and I made it around 3 times without stopped. I was kinda amazed. I'm still super slow, but that's okay.

Good idea with the menu. Since I have to do all my lunch making on the weekends planning is important. I'm not as good as it as I should be though :(. Snacks are hard on me.

Woohoo you go girl!

I'm proud of myself because I came up with a menu for the week. Only one somewhat unhealthy thing on the menu. Plus I am getting rid of some of the leftovers from the freezer. I am hoping to do this every Sunday for the upcoming week. Just dinner ideas not which meal to have on what day since you never know what you'll be in the mood for from day to day.
My goal today is to come up with a master list of different dinner ideas. Then all I have to do is look at the list to come up with stuff for the week

Okay, so I was running late for Jury duty this morning so after parking my car downtown, I ran about three blocks to the court house and I didn't DIE! The cold weather did not make my throat happy, but I am really glad I get still get trucking without sounding as fat as I am. Once I got to security my breathing went back to normal before I had all my thingies in the little box to scan. Whew.

I was really proud of myself, and I was there before they started!

I feel you there!

This weekend mine was chocolate. I had enough calories for a few pieces of chocolate, but what I wanted was a 700+ calories candy filled chocolate custard. Since I wasn't going to have the custard, I didn't have anything. I thought about that stupid custard for two days though.

DH asked why I didn't buy some ice cream at the store. Because I would want to eat ALL the ice cream. Half a cup does NOTHING.

I did buy some awesome super yummy apples. They are so good. I only get 1 a day or I'd eat them all in one sitting.

Good food decisions should be common sense. But common sense goes right out the window for me when there's potato chips nearby. It would be one thing if I could limit myself to an actual serving, but who wants just an ounce of potato chips I want half the darn bag. My fix for this is I just don't buy them.

I have made some good food decisions recently. When I am eating something and it isn't all that great, I just stop eating it. That should be a ~well duh~, but not for me. Saved some calories and felt better for it.

I had my fitness evaluation Wednesday. When it comes to pushups (on knees since I am female) I am excellent (above the highest rating) and for grip strength (as estimator of overall strength) I am above average.

My BP was 112/80 yah!

Yah. Almost like we are making a streak!

I did another AM gym visit. I did the squats, rows, bicycle WT first and then walked around the pond area for 50 minutes. No jogging today, but the walk was soo nice in the cold weather.

I am going to try and sneak in another walk around lunch time, but that is work dependent.

Good for you! I did just dance on the wii again. I I didn't do it as long as I did the other day but at least I did something. I was on the phone most of the morning with my daughter in Poland and it cut into my workout time. I plan on doing more tomorrow unless I get called into work.

Today I did am morning workout at the gym before work. I haven't done this is a long time. Did some weight training then some cardio.

I did 1 hour of just dance on the Wii. The "just sweat" part. I stayed active all day. Finished the day at 25,000 steps!

That does sound like fun.

I got 11 plants that i purchased today planted today before the rain! Usually they sit around in their pots being sad for days.

So when I was on vacation there was to hefty climbing to do. For example at one place our room was 70 stairs up, and these were some tall stairs. We also climbed up a church tower (551 stairs).

I was able to do them all far better than expected and I wasn't the slowest person.

I feel for you I also get migraines. I have found that mine are stress-related so I've tried some distressing techniques that help somewhat.

My non scale victory is that I hit my workout goals for the week.

Today's victory was finally seeing a neurologist about my migraines. I've had then for years, now I am going to start doing something about them long term. Not fun, but about time.

Of course I did! Volleyball games are always hard because you get bleacher butt. I really need to invest in a bleacher cushion. Tonight is the football game. We always stand at the fence line instead of sitting on the bleachers at football games. I get even louder at the football games.

I may have not gotten an actual workout in but I have kept busy all day. Tonight I've got a volleyball game for my granddaughter. So that means no sitting on my butt and watching TV until later tonight.

My non-scale victory yesterday was I went for an extra bike ride. I had done cycle class and wt during the day, but in the evening I felt like I had some energy to burn so I did about 6 miles.

Sometimes we focus too much on what the scale tells us, but living and being healthy is more than that.

What have been your non-scale victories?
This can be anything from running race to getting a picky child to eat the veggies you cooked.
