I'm kinda old school and don't have a smart phone, so apps don't really work for me. I know that I can do them on my computer, but I avoid them. But if you think an app based challenge would be motivating (and more mobile), I'd be happy to let that happen. I can always define my part differently and play along in spirit.

I like the idea of a full body thing. Another idea is one of the workout apps. Here is a link to the one I use.

Hmm. For some brain storming, are you thinking about doing one exercise (like plank) and getting really good at it, or a full body training?

There are lots of 30 day challenges (plank, squat, pushup etc). We could leverage one of those.

Another option is a 30 day training schedule where it gets a little harder as you go. Here is an example here womensrunning.competitor.com/2013/12

I'm glad I am not the only one, but I am sad you are in the same boat.

We have some time to brain storm a good WT challenge.

I think the bingo is set to go for 6 weeks. So we will probably have some overlap.

Strength training is my biggest weak spot. I have always struggled with making the time for it. I think a strength training challenge for February would be great! We just need to figure out a good one that will keep us motivated.

Hello All,

As we find ourselves back on the Spark wagon, working out and getting fit, sometimes we put all our energy into cardio. Cardio is a great way to get that calorie deficient we so desperately strive for.

But that doesn't mean we should forget weight training. Here is a good article about why you should make sure you are strengthening your muscles, no matter your age.

As I have started tracking my calories in and calories out, optimizing my time for higher calorie burn rates, I have been letting my strength training slip. I'm thinking making time will be a good February goal for me!
