I have that dvd to along with last chance workout and both of them will kick you into shape. I love using them when I cannot use my wii cause my hubby is watching tv. I also will be starting biggest loser challenge for the wii as soon as it gets here. I am so excited. Good luck on it and emoticon Kris26

I haven't tried that one yet. I may have to get it. I LOVE the BL cardio one. I'm still on level one with Bob. I love Bob. I was really sore the next day too. It was a workout but didn't feel like it lasted forever like some do.

I've wanted to try Jillian's 30 day shred but I don't really want to buy it without trying it first because I tend to give up and turn off at home workout dvd's 5 minutes after they start. Basically I don't want to waste my money :) Any one know of how I can try it out without paying for it first? Is it on Netflix?

Comcast has a lot of these of these "On Demand": I did the Last Chance Workout. It was so tough! There were 6 or 7 circuits of cardio & weights.

Oh! I almost forgot! Also, try "Exercise TV" http://www.exercisetv.tv/ They have lots of free workouts and others that you can pay per downloaded. I am a huge fan of Cindy Whitmarsh, her workouts are amazing!!

Also, Overstock.com has some cheap DVD Players (around 25 dollars) or you could just wait until Xmas time and probably find one really really cheap

Netflix does have all the Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels workouts, but only to rent on DVD. If you're looking for streaming videos try Crunch: Fat-Burning Pilates or Self: Slim and Sleek, Fast! I've never done either of these, but they're worth a shot.

As for the DVDs, I have Jillian Michaels' Boost Metabolism, Trouble Zones, and 30 Day Shred. I really like TZ and 30DS, but I'm not much of a fan of BM, too much kickboxing. Trouble Zones is the best because it really beats you up and targets problem areas.

I also have 3 biggest loser DVDs including Boot Camp, Workout Vol 2, and Cardio Max. Cardio Max is amazing, and I really love all three levels especially Bob's. I just purchased the other two and did the Boot Camp level 1 this morning for the first time. Just as I was starting to get my sweat on, the workout ended, so it might be a little too easy after the Jillian and Cardio Max DVDs, but next time I'll just add another level. Once I try The Workout Vol 2, I'll report back on that.

On another topic, what's your favorite Bob and Jillian quotes? My favorite Bob is, "Sweatin' like a man, breathin' like a man, I always did love that Pam" and Jillian, "You're probably like 'why's that girl pumping 3s, I bet she could do 20s?' well, yes, I can."

I have all those workout dvd's that you mentioned. My favorite is Bob's bootcamp one. I am on level 2 now. Level one you stay at until you can do it ..and get all the way through it...without effort..about 2 weeks i think. I did it 3 times a week. Level 2 is harder..and level 3 uses body bands...which i think i can do without being so tired at the end.
I also have all 3 of Jillian's dvd's and the Metabolism one is a KILLER. Barely got through it the first time. The 30 day shred is the best of all three. I think another one is her "no more trouble zones". OUt of all of them...i like the Bootcamp the best. Hope this helped. I am an older woman..so if you are younger than me...you will have NO problem.

I am 63. But i enjoy exercise, even though i am 48 lbs. from my goal.
It is so hot here on the east coast with no relief in sight...and way to hot to even move...haha My kids are grown and i have 3 grandchildren. Losing these 15 lbs. has made me alot happier, and a better grandma!!!! Journaling my food on here has helped me
keep control of my food intake.

You're funny Rosiedee! I am no spring chicken...47 with one kid in college and one a senior in high school. My little one (6 yrs) helps keep me young though. (And he still wants to be with me when my two teens want nothing to do with me) In fact, my 6-year old often does Jillians workout with me. He used two rubber ducks as his "weights" Cute! I am impressed you're on Level 2 of Bob's DVD. I am going to have to buy some additional DVD's so my body doesn't get too used to one set of exercise or I'll hit a plateau.

I am trying to keep up with all you "younger chicks"..haha I will keep doing the BL dvd's until i break something.haha My husband keeps warning me i am too old for this...but i am the type that never gives up. I am on level 2 of the Bootcamp dvd of Bob's. I go back and forth with Jillian's 3 dvd's and then switch to Bob's. His are much easier.

Ugh! Jillian is continuing to kick my tushy! I tried Level 2 of 30-Day Shred and couldn't finish a lot of the exercises. Walking push-ups...really?! I can barely do regular push-ups! However...the Level 1 was hard at first too, so we're going to stick with it and hopefully in two weeks it will be a piece of cake! I think I see just a hint of ab muscles under the (much smaller, but still there) layer of fat on my stomach. Yay-it's working!!

I just did an intro one that is only cardio with 3 levels where you build your own routine. Bob conducts the level one. I thought it was great but was SHOCKEDD the next day and still today to find that I am sore!!! Sore to sit, sore in my abs, sore in my sides....so apparently it was better than I even thought! Haven't tried the Boost your Metabolism yet. Sounds like a good one to do.

Go for it RosieDee! I'll have to try that Boost Your Metabolism DVD. I think we are ready to move up to Level 2 on the 30-Day Shred. Still, I was humbled today by a friend who told me she does a bootcamp 3X week and she is up to 25 standard push ups. I "appear" to be in better shape than she, but she is obviously stronger so now I'm even more pumped. Tonight, I'm gonna do MAN style push-ups. Yay! Go Team!

The hardest of Jillian's workouts for me is the "boost your metabolism" one. Could not get through that one..but her others i can. I started out doing Bob Harper's DVD BOOTCAMP...and i love it..but now it is getting too easy and i might go back to Jillian's to see if i can get through that.
I need to be pushed and yelled at!!

We have been doing it everyday. It was soooooo hard to get through it the first few times and I admit, I didn't finish some of the exercises, but after about 4 days it stopped being impossibly hard. I started out by doing only 5 push ups (girl style) in the first set and didn't do any in the 2nd set. Now I'm up to 18 first set and 11 2nd set. I NEVER thought I would be able to do 18 push ups-even girly ones. Also, I had to get smaller weights after the 1st night. I was using 5lbs and that was way to heavy, so I went to 3 lbs.

That's great. I have that workout but have not been able to get through it two days in a row. Just curious - how many times a week do you do it?

My husband and I started doing Jillian Michael's 30-Day Shred 15 days ago and Jillian is totally kicking my tushy, but in a good way. I was dripping sweat the first few times I did it, (and sore the next day) but we have stuck with it. I've lost 8 lbs and he's lost a lot as well. This is great, and she doesn't yell at me. Well, she sort of does...but it's in a motivational way. I swear I think she sees me when I start to feel like quitting. Weird. How a person can work out and talk that much at the same time is beyond me, but it's working for me! Go Jillian, keep kickin' my butt!!
