I use both cash and a card-depending on the amount. I get cash back rewards on my card, so that usually amounts to a nice discount on my monthly bill. But with any credit cards, etc., I do NOT pay interest nor have I ever. I'm one that likes to receive interest, and not pay it, so the longer the $ stays in the bank account for the month, the small amount more I make on interest for the account. Then when the bill comes due--it gets paid within days from that account.

We have automatic withdrawals for our consistent monthly bills. We use a cash back card for varying purchases. We get a cash allowance each week to spend anyway we want. I use my allowance for a few items at the grocery, eating out, yard sales, etc... Not all in the same week because my allowance is not that much lol.
I think you have some good ideas for managing your money.

Not about bags, but bills.

I donít pull out cash, or get cash back at the grocery store. I cannot remember the last time I did that. So itís at least three years. I stopped carrying much cash when I lived in an especially rough area.
I get some cash tips, not many, and use those as my pocket cash.
I no longer pay rent in cash, as I did with my last few situations, so, the envelope system is groceries, weekly dinner out, and savings. I often donít have cash on hand.

Iím thinking of using the debit card of a rather neglected bank account or my prepaid credit card for standard purchases and paying off each month.
Iíd move budgeted amounts of money over and use it as the household account.
Rent and car payment would still be out of my main account.

What about you? Do you prefer feeling the cash you worked for, or is it simpler to use a card?
If you use a card, does it offer cash back, or miles, or any other benefit?

Wake up every day knowing you make the decision to begin your journey anew.

This choice in this moment defines now.
What is your now?
