it is the act of counting my blessings that helps me sleep at night
Don't forget to be grateful to yourself for taking care of yourself and for your body which functions.
Reminds me of a story I once heard about Fred Rogers, in which he said that as a child when he was frightened of a scary situation, his mother taught him to focus on the helper people (firefighters, nurses, etc).
Being grateful is easy! Showing gratitude can be harder for some, but shouldn't be.

Today, I am grateful for my job and that it's pay day!
I try to tell those I appreciate often how blessed I am to have them in my life. It makes a difference.
I find a reason to get up every morning because I am responsible for taking care of my companion cat. She often makes me laugh which turns on the happy emotion. I'm grateful for every little thing that God decides to bless me with.
