I loved weight lifting until I broke my clavicle. Not being able to use one arm, I did a lot of leg work. The leg press was fun until I couldn't reach back to lock it. I asked a couple of guys for help. They started to tease me about not being able to press over 100#. I pushed the plate all the way up and told them it was a shoulder issue. They locked the machine for me and moved the weights back to the rack. Sadly, that was about 20 years ago and I haven't paid to go back. Report

Good for you. Strength training becomes more important as you get older. Strength training will also help shape your body where cardio could never do. It also stress more on how your diet affect your progress. Report
