Hi I'm Georgia, I am married to a wonderful man, named Joe.We have been married for 30 years. I have three adult children and two granddaughters. I lived in the New England area for about 30 years. Then I moved to Florida for 13 years. Now I am living in Texas,I moved here 11 years ago. I love to sing , dance, and knit. I also love playing with my three little fur babies,Teddy,Honey Bee,and Lucy Lu. I found SparkPeople three years ago, and lost 35Lbs. I have returned to SparkPeople to lose all the weight I gained back, and a few more pounds to reach my goal two years ago.I seemed to have good luck losing here the last time. I loved the tools they have, and the support I recieved. So here I go again wish me luck. Georgia.

March 16,2010: It is one year later, and I have lost 14 pounds since I began,That is not a bad thing. If I do this again I will be at normal weight. So I am going to continue to take little steps forward to my goal.I do not have to hurry, this is not a race, there is no set time for me to reach the finnish. After all there is no finnish line, what I have learned here at Sparks, is that I have to make healthier choices by tracking my calories, exercise, and emotions . If I can understand them a little better I can take small steps forward.I also know if I have set backs my Sparkfriends are there to comfort me. When I share my successes my SparkFriends never fail to root me on. I am very proud of myself this year and I am anxious to see where this year will lead me.
I restarted my journey Dec.9th 2011 I weighed in at 185Lbs. Today Dec.9th 2012 one year later my weight is 156.8Lbs. I feel I am on the right track and if I repeat what I have done last year this year I will be very close to my goal.I am very proud of my progress instead of a quick loss I have been losing slowly and keeping it off,yes I have had some ups and downs but all in all I have come out a winner Thanks Sparkspeople for all your support and encouragement I certainly would not have come this far without your help. Feb.17, 2014 I have been back for 24 days so far I want to lose 40Lbs. for my long term goal of running with my son Mike.He has been running for 7 months and loves it . I tried too and also loved it until my knees would not let me run anymore so I don't want to let go of my dream of running with my son I am giving myself one more chance I am working out all my muscles walking each day hopefully to run at least three of them after my weight loss, I do lots of cardio to build up my stamina and I am paying close attention to my calories I used to like to eat under my amount I know now if I want to run I need all my tracker recommends to achieve this goal. Thank you so much for all these useful tools that I use daily.

My Goals:
I would like to be 125Lbs by my anniversery. I would like to fit back in my wedding band. I would love to have a normal BMI. I would like to get to size 6 it would make me a size small wouldn't that be nice.

My Program:
I track my food.I drink around 10 to 12 cups a water a day. I ride my stationary bike for 30min. daily I burn about 300 cal from that. I do an exercise fitness program with my CD at home ,some are Tae Bo,some are strength training ect. 6 days a week. I do 25 bicycle crunches, and 25 sit-ups 5 days a week.I have been doing this for a month so far and loss 15 Lbs. I feel I am on the right track, and will continue what I am doing.

Personal Information:

Other Information:
My brother Robert and I were victims of extreme child abuse. We came together ten years ago with a dream of helping other abuse victims. We want to share are story with other victims if we can reach one person with the tools in our book A Dime A Dozen,we feel we would have reached our goal, but if we can reach many we will reach our dreams. I thank God every day for the motherly insticnt he instilled in me so long ago. I was abandoned for a month at the tender age of five. I was in charge of my three month old infant brother Robert. I fed him mashed up worms, and hid him in the closet so he would be safe away from the other siblins. I feel God led us on this journey to help other victims like ourselves. You can get the book at Tate Publishing .com, Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com. Georgia

    Hi Georgia,
I'm Dayle. Lost the extra weight because I joined sparkpeople three years ago. I read a lot, joined a lot of teams, and read a lot.
    Welcome to Grain Brain Team.
I progressed from 35 years of migraines, spending 1/2 my life in bed to clean eating, less discomfort, to paleo / primal eating several books later and no headaches.
Read a lot. Find what works for you. It does not hurt anyone to join a lot of teams.
So DH and I are off 5 prescription medications (all).
    Feeling great.
