Hey I am Amye I currently live in Knoxville, Tn... and I am about 50lbs overweight and I want to have my thick day behind me and start living the life I know I can have. Last year I struggled to even walk the Knoxville marathon and on March 28th 2010 I am going to RUN the entire 5k.!!!! I did it today with a time of 46.26 and I am super pumped about doing another 5k then maybe a half marathon next year!!

I have been on SparkPeople for a couple of years now but have not dedicated to using it so I have watched my waist and weight go around in circles.... lose 10 gain 15. Which now I know has been a result of being in denial about my addiction to food and emotionally using food to satisfy myself.... I have been reading about emotional eating and found that I have behavioral patterns with food that need to be changed in order for me to lose weight. Currently I am working on being more mindful of my consistence with tracking and that when I lose weight and get so excited/ happy not to allow myself to get distract from my long term goals which are to live a healthy long life and have children soon. Ultimately if I allow myself to get distracted I will go back to the unhealthy behaviors, so my weight will yo-yo back and forth.

I just turned 28 and have been saying for years I will not be overweight at 30 or when I have kids. I don't want to still be dealing with these weight issues. So I have set out on this journey once again to get healthy but this time with the idea that I can no longer quit on myself and that I must be mindful of both my physical and emotional health.

I really enjoy working out and pushing myself I am member at Court South and Hard Knox Bootcamp, so if anyone is interested in having a workout buddy let me know!!! I am also open to any advice or tips other might have!!!

My Goals:

*Run in the Knoxville Marathon 5k..March 28th, 2010. (DONE) time of 46.26...I AM AWESOME AND ROCK!!

*Run an half marathon in 2011

10 lbs--- HRM and Compete in a local 5k. (DONE) Race for the Cure 5K finishing time 59.14 was on 10-24-09
(DONE) Buddy's Race for the Cure 5k
on 11-15-09 time was 58.35

20lbs--- New Shoes(DONE)

30lbs--- Day at the Spa and another 5k in under 45 min.

40lbs--- Buy a sexy dress and go dancing

50lbs--- Take a trip somewhere super fun and warm

My Program:
*Working out two times a wk--BOOT CAMP

*Body combat once a wk

*Two spin classes a wk.

*Tracking my food... staying under 1700 calories every day or lower.

*Weight in Friday!!

*Only eat out once a wk

    Hi! I'm from Knoxville, too. I'm a 31 yr. old single mom of an eleven year old boy. I'm going to college, and I also work as a tutor at the college I attend. I've been on Spark for over a year now, and I'm getting nowhere. Granted...I've stayed the same weight since I gaining...and I'm thankful for that! I'm ready to lose, though, and I don't think I can do it without having a network of support that's much closer to home. I've met some wonderful people on here, but everyone lives so far away that's it's easy to retreat from the teams and not be held accountable. Anyhow, if you think you can help or can suggest any good teams worth joining, please let me know! Thanks~Mary
