Update! Last time I was on Sparkpeople, I made my goal weight! It was awesome! But I just got married a couple of weeks ago, and all of the stress involved led to some serious stress eating. I didn't gain very much (just about five pounds), but I feel bad about my body. So now I'm going to try to follow my time-tested pattern and lose 18 pounds! That will put me at a BMI of 21.3!

--BEFORE--
I've been off and on Sparkpeople for several years now, and each time I've lost about 20 pounds, only to gain 10 back later. Well, now I'm starting again with only 10-20 pounds to go 'til my goal weight, and I'm very excited! I've been overweight since puberty, and I've only been as skinny as I am now once before in my life. That's why my goal weight is a 10 pound range! I honestly don't know where I'll feel my best because I've never been thinner before. With every pound I lose, I discover new curves that have been covered with fat. I'm really excited to get into the "healthy" BMI range within the next couple of weeks and, once I'm there, start trying to figure out what my ideal weight should be!

Because I've done Sparkpeople before, I'm making a special goal this time around: participate in the community. The last time I tried, I just ignored the entire 'community' section, but I've been reading a lot of posts lately, and am really reassured and inspired by them.

I'm trying to keep my calories between 1250-1350 and am working out a half an hour a day, five days a week with my Wii Fit. I'm also planning on doing a lot of hiking and swimming this summer with my fiance in an attempt to lead a more active life in general.
