Take chances. It's YOUR plan. It doesn't have to look like anyone else's plan. If it doesn't work for you, let it go. Experiment. Enjoy your journey.

Important Things to Remember:
1. Keep your plan simple. Do not complicate it with a bunch of rules that make it difficult.
2. Don't expect perfection. No guilt.
3. Expect plateaus.
4. Don't get in a rush.
5. Listen to your body.
6. Never give up on yourself.
7. Keep it fun.

Accept missteps as if they never happened. Learn from them and move on immediately. Persistence, not perfection.

Intermittent fasting does not tell me what to eat. It tells me when to eat. I choose the length of the eating and fasting windows.
It has made a sustainable difference in my journey. It is a healthy way to live. Fasting lets my body switch from go mode to repair mode. (There are many kinds of fasts.)

1. While I may eat what I want, it's important to strive for balance. Get enough protein. Listen to my body. Stop eating when approaching full.
2. Eat fruits and vegetables.
3. Make water the beverage of choice. Reach for black coffee or tea when I want something besides water.
4. Because of health issues, I avoid sugar.
5. IF helps me avoid grazing all day (or night!) or reaching for junky snack foods.

January 2021 Added water fasting days to the schedule. There are so many health benefits to fasting, whether it's one day or more. I drink water, black coffee and tea without additives.

Good morning Annie. I finally wrote down my goals. I'm going to put them on my fridge to give me added courage to stay on the healthy path that sometimes may be hard to follow. Hope you have a great day!

He is totally supportative of my fasting plan. He has been listening to all the doctors on youtube I follow. He usually has 3 small meals a day now. He does not have the issue with carbs that I do. He knows when to stop eating.

I am all for what works for you! I took me TOO many years to figure out what works for me. Fad diets, WW, etc and nothing worked until I discovered ELAD and OMAD/IF. It's been a life changer for me!! My goal is 125 and with going on vacation in a few weeks, I know I will have issues. But I will be right back on track when we get home! I can and will do this!

I am glad you found out what is working for you. That is so important!!

    Have a great weekend.

I am fasting on M W and F. Will start this Monday. I thought about doing a true every other day, but it was so easy to schedule my calander to repeat on certain days. At some point I may start fasting 2 days in a row like Friday and Saturday. I have a lot to lose too. My dream goal is between 130 and 140. I just keep telling myself with every pound lost I'm one pound closer. My short term goal is 200. It's just my husband and me. Just furry kids. I think my new way of eating has rubbed off on him. He has started spacing his meals out further. He nearly died 2 years ago from a gi bleed. Was in ICU a week. Diagnosed with severe gastritis, 2 ulcers, small hiatal hernia and stomach polyps. The polyps were removed during endoscopy. His diet had to change pretty quick. With stomach issues his doctor told him to break up his meals to 4 or 5 small ones.
