There are days in which the thought of making healthy food choices seems inconceivable, unreachable, and insurmountable. These days, it becomes a struggle just to recall what the next hour’s goal should be much less the overall goal of reaching a healthy weight.

I’ve been yo-yoing up and down since September 2010. With my weight, my motivation and commitment to reach a healthy life style has been just as erratic as my weight. Some days are worse than others…I’ve experienced days of in which I‘ve spent hours upon hours contemplating extreme measures in hopes of getting a “jump start.” I’ll have “A-ha” moments in which I realize that I’ve been working towards this body for 31 years and therefore, it will take ongoing consistency to reach a healthier form.

I've been utilizing SparkPeople throughout the past two years. In this time I've found some amazing resources, utilized the community groups, and followed some individual blogs that have resonated with my personal experiences... I've found comfort and reassurance... I hope to be more consistent in utilizing these resources and hopefully reaching the goals I've set out for myself for this year.

March 27th to April 27th:
-Weekly-
1. Attend a weekly class at the gym or yoga studio
2. Cardio exercise 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes
3. Strength Train 2 days a week for at least 20 minutes
4. Take walking breaks during work- two 15 minute breaks or 30 minute break
5. Once a week hike for at least an hour



Personal Information:
I live in California with my partner, two children, two dogs, and cat. My house is always filled with sounds, commotion, and the general chaos associated with multiple beings residing in a shared space.


Other Information:
I love READING. I've found that audiobooks offer and incredible opportunity to read and workout at the same time! I've accumulated an abundance of audiobooks in the past few months. I enjoying hiking, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.

    Thank you so much for the nice comments on my page! I found something that I thought could help after reading your last blog. It's from a website called precision nutrition. There's a lot on there about just super easy steps on keeping with a diet and succeeding in it. They put a very easy spin on things that was easy for me to understand. Hope it helps.
