Hi my name is Kelley. I am 20 5’7’’. I am married to my wonderful husband Mike and we have a beautiful 2 year old girl named Hailey.
I started my weight loss journey December 2007. I would like to go from 159 to 130. I have always pretty much been this same weight (I hover between 150 and 160) but I have never been completely satisfied or felt good about myself. I have finally decided that now is the time to begin this journey. I want to actually believe my husband when he says I look good instead of being like “yeah whatever”. I want people so say “wow, you look great”. I know that I can do it! It’s time to drop the pounds that have lowered my level of self esteem all these years.
The hardest part for me will be exercising. I am a wife, mom, and full time student. So I have my time pretty well occupied. I know that I have time to do it, I just need to find the motivation to put down the remote and pick up the dumbbells.


Mini Goals:

Starting Weight-159
150- nice dinner out with hubby without kids
145- jewelry
140- rain boots
GW: 135-victoria secret and 100 shopping spree

Fitness Minutes: 320

My Goals:
I want to feel good about myself, and feel healthy. I want to be able to play with my daughter, and run around the yard without getting winded. I want to be free.

My Program:
I am using the sparkpeople nutrition tracker and eating between 1200 and 1600 calories a day. For fitness I am using Turbo Jam workout videos. I do at least two videos a day.

Personal Information:
I am from Nashville, TN and am in college. I graduate in the spring of 2009.

    I've lived in Nashville since 1984 and married a native Nashvillian. I work-out by Stewart’s Ferry Dam at the Ladies’ Workout Express. My daughter is a voice student at MTSU.

    I am a fine artist now but I used to be a graphic designer. If you Google my name, you'll see a lot of the album covers I designed for singers like George Strait, Reba, Hank Williams Jr., Randy Travis, etc. It used to be a joke that if I designed your album cover, you would be the next Country Music Singer of the Year. LOL! But that was yeeeeears ago... now I paint full time.

    I joined Spark People and started my weight-loss journey Sept. 18, 2007 and I have lost 40 lbs during this time. The reason, I believe, is that I have found that elusive key... ELIMINATING EXCUSES!

    My positive attitude is what is different for me this time. Historically, I have put myself on "diets" and moaned, groaned and complained to being deprived... I had DIET RAGE! This time it is different. I heard my college-age daughter making excuse after excuse... and it HIT me... I NEED to ELIMINATE EXCUSES!

    So, ELIMINATING EXCUSES is my mantra. Only positive thoughts and motivational attitudes and I believe I have found that elusive key to weight-loss success... and a happy life! I have a spring in my step, I am pleasant to be around and I love life (when life used to be my prison)!

    Have a GREAT journey... and remember to eliminate excuses that keep you from attaining your goals and you WILL get there. WE ARE STRONG! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

    I go to college at Columbia State. My best friend starts at MTSU this January. She lives in Murfeesboro. I love in Lewisburg. I am going to school for Medical Business Administration and will eventually return back to nursing school in a couple of years when I have more free time. I went to the dr the other day for being sick and found out I have lost another 2 lbs. Pretty excited over two pounds.. but this is where I normally hit my plateau. I can't ever seem to get over that hill of 150. BUT I will this time. Its great to meet someone who has so much in common with myself. Maybe we can give each other the boost we need to lose the weight! TTYL!

    HI! I just saw you page, and can completely relate to you hovering in between 150-160. I have just now moved down to 152. Only 22 more pounds to go. It seems we lead very similar lifes, being married, students and having very little time to ourselves. Email me if you wanna chat.
