I started my spark journey in 2011 at 23 years old and 220 lbs!

I reached an amazing goal of 59lbs lost and was 161lbs for a time, life threw some curveballs and my husband was injured and with that my activity level declined. I slowly crept back up to 207lbs in January of 2014, and in April that year I became pregnant!

I very quickly changed my eating habits and began to take prenatal yoga classes as I was determined to have a healthy pregnancy without unnecessary weight gain. I gained only 24lbs, and after giving birth to a healthy 8lb girl on Dec 24th 2015 I was left at 216lbs (only 9lbs heavier than pre-pregnancy)

Once my girl was 6months old and summer was upon us, I found the motivation to start walking/hiking with the stroller, I was doing between 5 & 15km every day and I managed to lose 30lbs in just over 3months!!! I was 186lbs in the fall of 2016.

Unfortunately the fall 2016 brought with it some unforeseen stresses, things that took my time away from my daily walks, then in November I finished mat leave and went back to work. Mostly sitting at a desk, combined with a cold and snowy winter I crept back up to 193.

Now here I am again, motivated to make a change and get back to healthy habits. I am batch cooking and prepping every Sunday so that I have healthy meals/snacks stocked up at work. My hubby is on board with keeping dinners healthy. And as my girl grows and becomes more active I look forward to warmer weather and getting back outside on the weekends!

I will be 30 in September and I hope to reach my goal by then and stay there this time!

My Goals:
Jan4 2011 - to loose as much weight as it takes to be a healthy 23 year old.

Nov 6 2011 - to loose the last 18lbs to reach my original goal weight, and to have the strength and will to carry on afterwards, to maintain my loss or to continue loosing.


My Program:
I have a Wii Console with Wii Fit Plus which is a great workout and I also use the dance dance revolution games to get my heart rate going and have fun at the same time!!
Recently I have added Jillian Michaels workout dvd and zumba dvd's to my workout routine! love it!
Nov 6 - Still love the Jillian Michaels DVD's and have added running!



Personal Information:
Living in the sunny okanagan, my goal is to feel comfortable in my own skin, I want to look hot in a bikini this year! :)

Nov 6 - very confident that I will feel amazing in a bikini by summer 2012!

    It's been a long time since I checked in.. but I thought I would let you know that I'm heading back to Vernon for a visit mid. August. Just wondering if you wanted to meet up. Have you ever done the stair way to heaven?? That's one fitness thing I have on my to-do list while on my visit :D
