Liberated star corners, angels are fussy cut, as are Dia de los Muertos musicians.

Houses are free pieced, a la Freddy Moran. Tiles are joined 16 patch squares.

Bridget the quilt is amazing!! A true piece of art. Where did you find these fabrics?? How big is it? Will you use it on a bed? Thanks for posting it...I've been waiting!

Thank you Bridget, I can finally wear my jeans all day long and not feel like meat in a sausage casing. We are a lucky bunch to have each other. emoticon Mary

Thanks for the article Bridget! I love reading about New Orleans food, watching tv programs about New Orleans food and EATING New Orleans food! I was already salivating when they were talking about the shrimp po-boys!

When we all go out to eat, my son and his wife order everything! They want to make sure that we've had the whole culinary experience. We all sort of share and I don't order a meal. I take tastes of this and that so as long as my "tastes" remain small I can survive. Then if we have anything short of crayfish tails left on our plates, we do bring them home because my skinny son can eat like a horse and they seem to always disappear. I never eat the left overs....that man was right!

I'm not sure if you said you'd been down there, or not, but I do hope that sometime you get a chance to experience the BIG EASY. It truly is like no where else in the world. The city itself can appear a little rough around the edges, but the food is nothing short of amazing and the people are great.
