As I read my previous updates it makes tears come to my eyes. I have done it again. I have yo yo dieted. Worked so hard to lose the weight only to gain it again. Here today I am back at 262lbs and miserable. Today I once again commit to becoming a healthier me. Today is the last time I will write that I have failed at this. I am committing today to find the healthier me.

Update: Below you will see what I wrote on January 2nd of this year and here is where I am today (Septmber 5). As of today I weight 217lbs. Doing the math I have lost 47lbs in 7 months!!! I have done so while going to school full-time and working full-time. This just makes me realize that I CAN do this! I'm excited to continue this journey and start 2013 as a healthier me.

Join me in my journey to a healthy weight! Losing weight isn't fun but it is totally worth it.

Hi! My name is Brandi, I am 26 and from Southern Illinois. I am currently working full-time and going to school full-time working on my second bachelors. My life is pretty busy but I have decided that I need to work on getting healthy!

I currently weigh 264lbs.... just typing that makes me cringe! How could I become that overweight?! I have been yo-yo dieting since I was 16 and just can not seem to keep the weight off. In the past I have lost 50-60lbs just to gain it back plus more in less than a year. I have joined Sparks people with the hopes that having a community behind weight loss will keep me motivated.

I look forward to getting to know new people on Sparkpeople and learning different methods of losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

My Goals:
My major goal is to lose a total of 114lbs. I realize that this is a long-term goal so I have decided to focus on smaller goals in the beginning.

Goal 1- Lose 28lbs Done

Goal 2- Lose 57 lbs

Goal 3- Lose 85.5 lbs

Goal 4 - Lose 114 lbs

Lose 28.5 lbs 4 times. I CAN do this.

My Program:
Consume between 1250 calories to 1550 calories a day. Ensuring that I eat breakfast everyday!

Do cardio exercises at least 4 days a week.

Participate in the c25k program.

    Hi Brandi. emoticon to the BLC35 Spicy Team. I am looking forward to having you with us during this fall challenge. It looks like you have something in common with the rest of us. Failure! (*sigh*) Well, I am with you. Let's make it our last one. Let's make the Spicy's the best team this round.

    What has helped me over the past couple month's is watching some of those Food Documentaries available,like: Fed Up, Forks over Knives, What the Health, there are quite a few out there. I watch them on Netflix, but I am sure they are available elsewhere, even the Library.

    I sincerely hope you find something that Sparks you on your weight loss journey now and forever. MA
