My life was forever changed on December 3rd 2016. We lost our son in a major car accident. Some days I do not know if I'm coming or going but I do my best to hold my head up and move forward.
There is a reason I'm here and I don't want to waste my life.

It's the determined, who create the life they want, while the idle sit by and watch it fade away into nothingness. The future belongs to the exceptional individuals, who can see the light of the future, at the end of the tunnel."

Seriously isn't this journey over yet? Nope not for me I'm one of the slow learners! Actually I just have food addiction problems.
I have been way more on this year than off which is more than I have ever been so Yay! I have been exercising and eating healthy since last June except for a lapse lasting from Thanksgiving through New Years!

I'm super excited to finally be the smallest I have been since before my babies were born! Actually pretty sure I'm about 10lbs lighter than the year before I had my daughter so about 8 years ago?

I'm one of those people who can't look in the mirror and see the difference so even though I have lost about 44 lbs since last June I still see the same person in the mirror. Its cool I'm good with her!

I'm trying to plan a workout program that won't leave me injured as soon as I get going but I love those good kickboxing vids that leave me all twisted and out of commission. I have been on the fence about Turbo Fire for about a month now, eventually I will buy it!

Some people would say I'm an extremist. I quit soda sometime this summer and have only had 1-2 since then. I have quit sugar twice. This last time was about a month ago?
I played with Vegan dishes in Sept. I tried raw from Oct.-Nov. and now I'm working on Dr. Fuhrman's way of eating. I don't necessarily believe in all his junk in the front of the book. I just use the back for the recipe section! I went for Dr. Fuhrman's eating style after being a bit too limited on the 80/10/10 way of life. I just gave up salt this time around as of last Monday. So far so good. I choose this diet because its the only eating style that doesn't leave me hungry all the time. A huge part of the reason I have a hard time losing weight is I'm hungry all the time. My stomach growls, feels empty, and I need to eat. Eating more plant based foods and cutting out some of the extras kicks my hunger beasties butt!

I'm recovering(once again) from a recurring knee injury. Its feeling better and I'm ready to get back to exercising after about a week off. I just switched my little one to formula so I'm readjusting my calorie and exercise needs. Its going to take some work with the calories but I can do it, along with Spark of course!!

April 2009 Everything is moving right along.

My road to a healthy lifestyle has been a long one and it continues still, but I'm getting there. Its hard to go back and learn new habits after growing up with not so great ones. Though they weren't as bad as most. I grew up with fruits and vegetables and the idea of eating healthy. I just never understood portion control, no one realized juice wasn't all that great for you, and we didn't understand stabilizing your meals with carbs/proteins. I was a carb fanatic. Pastas, breads, cereals, and baked goods were my vice of choice. Oh for the love a hunk of french bread slathered with a bit of butter or shoot it was great even without butter.

That all changed about a year ago when I started getting massive stomach pains all the time. The kind where you just want to curl up in a ball and cry. I probably would have just chalked it up to stomach problems except for the fact that my mom was diagnosed with Celiac almost 3 years ago. So I got a pretty good head start joining the game.

Celiac=no gluten=no bread or almost any other processed food on this earth! So April 2008 my love affair with wheat ended. May 2008 I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd child(who entered the world this February), and Sept 2008 my family moved from IL to TN. Talk about a crazy year.

Back to present. I have been working out for about 3 weeks now. Its tough fitting in healthy meals and fitness with two little ones under the age of 3 but I'm making progress. I'm working out 5 days a week aiming for 3x a week cardio 45 minutes and 2x a week strenght training. I love cardio so that's not too bad. I have just received turbo jam so I'm using that for cardio and sculpting, while I'm beginning the Couch to 5k along with it. I like to mix up my cardio with other dvds and ps2 games. I'm trying to make myself get into yoga for those rest days when I'm pretty sore. I think yoga would help me destress and slow down, but that is the same reason I can't get into it I'm not able to slow down and enjoy it.

My goals are a bit loose right now but they will tighten up as the baby gets more self sufficient.

Writing and business advancement 5 days a week.
-------Current Goals 2017--------

Quit drinking soda
Acheived sometime during Summer of 2012

Reach my goal weight

Commit to regular exercise --I just started Dr. Fuhrman's 6 wk plan so it said to lay off exercise for a week. I start back up tomorrow 3/25/13 it will be interesting to see if I notice an energy difference.

My Program:
I have a skull fracture and a broken elbow so my program consists of gaining back range of motion in my left elbow until I'm approved for exercise!

Still working on my program
I have been doing Tae Bo, Jillian Michaels Kickboxing, and Leslie Sansone's 5 mile walk.
Billy gets a little preachy, and I don't really like Jillian's vid that much so I will probably be ordering Turbo Fire I miss Chalene!
