I have spent a lot of time in my life being overweight, unhealthy, and as a result unhappy.

Being healthy is about doing things that are good for YOUR body. It's a learning process, and I'm still a student. At my highest, non-pregnancy weight, I was 220ish. I've never been afraid of exercise, but I didn't get nearly as much as I should for a long time. Now, as a pretty faithful runner, and licensed Zumba instructor, that part has changed.

Now, I'm trying my best to eat right for MY body (grain and gluten free) and reach a place where I feel fit, healthy & happy! It's within reach, and I hope to continue educating myself so I can make the most of living!

~To keep my sanity, I read whenever I can-and enjoy being creative.

    Hey there, I'm so happy with your log-on record... keep it up! Sounds like you have your head on straight now and things will be lookin' "DOWN" as in dropping weight! I'm anxious to see that weight ticker move! Thanks for stopping over, come back again anytime!

    Here is my Thanksgiving note to you all- It’s so festive here at my house. The radio station I listen to now plays 24 hours of Christmas music and we have it piped all through the house. I can follow EDDIEMAE’s lead and “Granny Dance” in any room I want! I found out last night my son is bringing a friend home from college for the holiday and they are coming tomorrow! There goes my plan to clean, change sheets and do wash tomorrow, it will have to be done today! YIKES! I am cooking the dinner this year and everyone is coming to my house. I can’t imagine having time to Spark, but I’ll be thinking of all my Sparky friends and I hope my mental-telepathy works. Meaning you’ll hear voices in your head saying, “Don’t eat too much, you’ll be so sorry next week, tomorrow you won’t even remember whether you ate it or not, and Stephanie will be SO disappointed!” I am planning on putting ittsy-bittsy portions on my plate the first round and ittsy-bittsy portions on my plate the second round. I figure two ittsy-bittsies will equal one regular plate. Then I’m having pumpkin pie…and not an ittsy-bittsy piece either! It’s my favorite! Here’s my Thanksgiving strategy for you… draw a picture of me, (it doesn’t have to look just like me, you’ll know who it is) and stick it in your bra Thursday morning. Then, every time you reach for food, it’ll feel scratchy and you’ll think to yourself… “What’s that?” Then you’ll remember, “Oh, that’s Stephanie reminding me not to eat too much. HOPE IT WORKS!

    Hopefully it is the 16th when you are reading this. That means you logged on two days in a row and you are back on track. Even if you go a little wayward, FOR PITY SAKE, LOG ON! Just reading everyone else's progress really helps me a lot. So does going around trying to motivate others. You have to think of how much YOU want to be the one at Thanksgiving next year everyone is talking about. Now, have a great weekend! And by "great" I mean eating good (but having fun!). :)
