Been a Sparker since April 2009...and like a lot of things in life, it's been an on and off again relationship. Stopped smoking (for the final time) on October 4, 2015. And the weight started to creep on. Almost 30 lbs over the past 3.5 years. And I have tried everything since then to drop that pesky weight. Nothing worked. Not even everything I had done back in 2009 when I dropped 25 in 3 months with the help of SP. Then last year I had to have surgery for a knee injury and while recuperating from that found out I had thyroid cancer. Sheesh! But I got through all that.

So I started back on Keto on Jan 1 2019 and this was one resolution I was determined to keep. I am still married to a man who adores his carbs and will never, ever give them up. Well, I continue my research into low carb living and decided to add intermittent fasting (IF) to the mix in March. That was an adjustment, and even after more than two months of IF 3 times a week, I can't say I enjoy those days, but I do it because of the health benefits and because it kick-started weight loss after a frustrating stall. Only 6 lbs to go to my goal weight! I am hitting the gym 3 times a week and walking every single evening that it isn't raining (which is all it seems to do this spring)!

So here we are again, but armed and ready and winning the battle...

    – Michael finally fixed my treadmill. I'm using it more now. I'd like to be more active and am working on it little by little. On the positive side, I'm really using the Sparkpeople android app to track my food. I like it a lot.
