Hi, I'm a 44 year old mother of 6 teens/young adults. I work as a CNA and am in nursing school. I wasn't always overweight, but started gaining weight after being pregnant, suffering a back injury, and suffering from some bouts of depression. Now I can hardly recognize myself. I want to get myself back in shape and be energetic again!

Fitness Minutes: 69,785

My Goals:
1. To get my weight down to 155 lbs by graduation (May 2013).
2. Strengthen my core muscles.
3. Not have chronic back pain any more.
4. Learn to jog.

My Program:
I will be walking, drinking more water, and eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

I eat smaller meals every 2-4 hours, with a total caloric intake of 1350-1750 calories per day. Saturday is my free day when I don't count calories. The other 6 days of the week, I keep a food journal of everything I eat. If it goes into my stomach, it goes into my journal!

Personal Information:
I'm a 44 year old mother of 6, a nursing student, and a proud Irish-American Jew.

Other Information:
I am interested in knitting, crocheting, tatting, embroidery, making stained glass, and ferrets. My favorite singer is Barry Manilow. I love old movies and music from the 20's, 30's & 40's. I love all kinds of music, especially big band, Celtic, Klezmer, country, rock & roll, pop...too many genres to list! But I have absolutely no musical talent of my own. I just listen and enjoy :-)
