Wife. Mom. Daughter. Granddaughter. Voice Teacher. Aspiring pianist. Martha-Stuart-Type. Emotional Eater. Beautiful Person. I am all of these things and I'm striving to squash negative habits of the past and be the best person I can be. I've lost 50lbs before through sparkpeople, but since having a baby and trying to fit weight-loss in with my everyday life and responsibilities--I'm stuck. I don't know how long it will take me, but more important than any number on a scale, I want to love myself and feel alive. I want my food to be about nourishment and not emotions. I want to exercise because I like to feel strong, not because its a punishment for being "fat." I want to bust through the old negative tapes in my head telling me that I'm not good enough. I am enough and I will find my way.

1. At least one act of self love everyday.

As someone who has tried to lose weight many times with varying success, I firmly believe that it doesn't matter how many times you fail, you must promise yourself that you will keep on going. That way no matter what you will get closer to your goal.

    Oh I many women that had babies around the same time are all skinny again. Makes me sick. I feel like I look like I just had my baby and he's 8 months old...ugh! I know once I pass the second state law test I can fully focus on this weight loss, but I'm trying to now!

    Insanity is really hard...and I am hoping it helps. I plan to do it several times until the end of the year. I wasn't able to do any intense workouts for awhile-I was c-section as well. But I am feeling ok (besides incredibly out of shape) in doing the work-outs.

    We'll get there! I plan to be in the bests shape I can by the time I get pregnant with #2 and I am going to do my best to be more active and eat better next time. I kind of was all over the place this time...but once I get this weight off-I don't want to have to lose as much the second time around.

    We will get there!!!!

    I understand your discouragement! My baby is 8 months old and I haven't really lost much of anything. I lost some, gained it, etc. There have been other things distracting me (important things, like passing my licensure tests finally-which I found out I passed the national test and now onto the state law test)- I want to finally be licensed as a psychologist. So, that has been my focus...and I NEED to get this weight off! AND my baby is 8 you are doing great! I started the insanity workout (it's tough!) 1.5 weeks ago and just need to really get my eating under control. If I can do that I KNOW I will be able to get this weigh off of me. It's so hard!!! I want to try to get to where I want to be by January-when we start trying for #2!

    Congrats on your son as well! We can do seems so hard, but motherhood was definitely worth it. Thanks for the tip on the website. I will have to check it out. I know once I get in a better routine things will start to get better. Hope you have a great rest of the week!
