I have been trying to lose weight all my life it seems. After my transplant, I gained a lot of weight and just started taking it off a few years ago. I was doing so good until I was put back on steroids in September. I have gained 32 pounds since then. I find out in a few days if I can go off of the steroids. I hope so, then maybe I can get busy and start losing weight again. I am so tired of this!

My Goals:
So far, I have lost 120 pounds and still have more to lose. I would like to lose 50 pounds before April because I'm going camping for the first time and it will be easier on me to lose the weight. Right now, I'm stuck and need to get back to losing every week instead of losing and gaining.

My Program:
I try to walk as often as I can, which is not easy when it's cold outside. I make sure I drink at least 64 oz of water a day, and I watch my calories and sodium. I write every bite down, which is a big help. I used to go to Weight Watchers, but it got to be too expensive. With what I learned at WW and this site, I think I can keep up my motivation.

Personal Information:
My name is Janet, and I'm 61 years old. I live in Michigan, have 3 sons, 1 who lives in Arizona, 1 who lives down the street from me, and my youngest, who has been living at home since getting out of the Air Force last year.

Other Information:
On Sept. 20, 1993, I had a liver transplant due to auto-immune liver disease. I was on prednisone for a year, taken off, then 7 years ago, put back on for 5 years. I gained a lot of weight while on the steroids, now I'm fighting to get it off.
