I got it. Finally. Something inside of me changed. It is not easy, this takes effort and focus, but, it is not hard. I exercise everyday. I eat 1200-1500 calories each day. I look at food differently. Finally, I understand the cliche,'Food is fuel for the body'. It really is. I think seriously about what I will have at my next meal. I must eat fresh produce because they are filling and very low in calories. I must use fresh herbs and spices because the food is tastier and herbs and spices are very low in calories. I use fresh hot peppers or cayenne because I feel more full after my meals when I add them to my food. I have more energy. I have more energy. If I am tired and I exercise, I have more energy. This feels good. I feel good.

Charms I buy with every 5 pounds lost-
-An A- I will get an 'A' on every medical test,
(BP, HR, glucose, cholesterol, etc).
-Fruit- I eat to nourish my body.
-Two dogs- This is how I begin my day,we walk together.
-26.2- I am walking the Las Vegas Marathon.
-Meditation- OM
-Clothes- I now enjoy 'shopping in my closet' and getting dressed.
-1500-Maximum daily calories.
-Mountains-For the mountains that I have climbed during this journey. Literal and actual.
-A pencil- I must track my food and nutrients in order to lose weight and live healthfully.
-A seesaw-Representing balance between a healthful lifestyle and a healthful social life.
-Ballet slippers(toe shoes) a reminder of the good posture that I am regaining.
-A number 2-I am finally comfortable with losing two punds per week.
- -representing 500 sit-ups that I do daily
-A chair-being comfortable in, and fitting into a chair
High heels-Buying sexy shoes. The first time in 12 years!
-An apron- I have discovered a looove ot cooking. This is new, so I am learning as I go along.
-Chocolate candy- I looove chocolate. This is also new:)
-Tea Cup-Eating my afternoon snack slowly, while sitting down with a cup of herbal tea.
-boxing gloves representing me standing up,fighting for myself

March 14 -219 Well, I didn't walk four mornings and four evenings,(my car was not working), I didn't log my food and I didn't eat clean.
April 24 223.6 I ate school lunch every day this week.
May 1 217 down 6.5!!! Day 9 of my 60 Day Yoga Challenge. I feel stronger. I am no longer using blocks for poses. Going into push-up pose is more controlled. Last week I read an excerpt from the book "Women, Food and God". It resonated with me. Since reading this I listen to my body. I eat when I am hungry. My stomach has growled everyday since reading this excerpt. Prior to this, it had been years since I had this feeling. I feel that my body is burning calories and my energy level is very high!

I began running in August and will run my first Half Marathon on December 5th...yes, the day after the Winter 5% begins!I love the runners high, runners glow and runners strength. I also love yoga and hiking.

What diet are you following?
I am eating healthfully, which for me means cooking from scratch and eating healthy portions.

My lose weight consistently. I have been on a self-induced plateau for one year, after losing 100 pounds, 50 with Spark.

2 random fun facts about you?
I have two Cocker Spaniels. I love traveling the world and immersing myself in other cultures.
