I learned a lot about myself last year. I learned that if I don't track my food, I eat more. I may think I am in the ball park of my calorie range, but when I track it, it's a lot more than my guesstimate.

I also learned that I have to step up the exercise. What I was doing is no longer good enough, because my metabolism is slowing.

The good news is that I lost 16 pounds over the past year. I gained 5-6 of them back over the holidays, for not sticking to the Spark as closely as I should have, but I still lost weight. This program works if you work it.

Fitness Minutes: 22,150

My Goals:
Lose weight permanently and stay toned. (long term)

Short term:
1. exercise 6 days a week
2. Revamp my nutriton plan to include more healthy, clean, less calorie dense food.
3. Choose better snacks (less than 200 cal. each)
4. Get to 135 by June 1st 2011, (short term goal).
5.Get to 125 by Sept 1, 2011 (short term goal)

My Program:
1200-1500 calories a day, (3 meals, a morning snack and an afternoon snack) less than 60 fat grams. exercise, alternating treadmill, Turbo jam and strength training and sticking with it. (That's the hard part)

Personal Information:
I'm a 52 year old happily married mother of 2 teenage boys, and stepmother of 2 awesome older kids, both of whom are married. I'm a medical technologist (clinical laboratory scientist) and ama manager of a hospital lab. I love Jesus, the beach, music,needlework.

Other Information:
I like to read Christian romance novels and magazines when I want to shut my brain down. I like to knit. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
