Ok, I had a really depressing introduction before, and now I feel it is time for an updated one.

If you would have asked me about a year ago if I was happy, I would have immediately answered "no." Believe it or not, a few months of self assessment and caring can change EVERYTHING. I have personally experienced that change. I have an entirely different view on life. I feel like it is worth living now, and I feel like even if I do not lose the weight I have set out to lose, the journey is worth going through. You gain so much knowledge and understanding when you go through it, and that is what life is all about...learning. I love my life at this stage and point in time. I just hope that this will continue on, and that I can do this for the rest of my life. Sure, it is challenging at times, and there are hardships on the way, but again, that makes it all worth while! When you learn to accept your current circumstance, is when you can allow change to follow, if desired. So be happy with who you are now, so that you can better yourself even more for the future!

Fitness Minutes: 6,921

My Goals:
My MAIN goal, aside from actual weight loss, is to treat my body for some of my medical conditions. Since neither are curable, they can be treated, so I wish to do just that. I would like to feel healthy again. It all starts with a better lifestyle.

My Program:
I stay within my given calorie range on most days throughout the week, and I know this because I track, track, track! I believe one cannot truly know what they are consuming unless they track every bite! I have cut out sodas from my life, which is a HUGE accomplishment. After losing 20 pounds and hitting a little bit of a plataeu, I have started increasing my physical activity. I try to incorporate exercise throughout my day in any way that I can. I just take it easy, and enjoy the ride, because I have realized that it is one that will NEVER come to a hault!

Personal Information:
I am currently attending the Art Institute Online Division. I am working towards a degree in Graphic Design. It's great, but just another stress to add to my daily life.

Other Information:
I can say that a HUGE help in keeping up the motivation are the challenges in the SparkPeople forums. If you feel like you aren't being serious enough, join one that suits you. I can promise that it'll make you feel more responsible, because you are interacting with others, and it will keep you on track! Try it. You can't go wrong!
