Hello there, So here is a little about me:

I am a 28 year old married woman who moved to San Jose, Ca from Canada back in 2006. I am 5'5 and 370lbs with 200lbs to lose as my goal weight. I am looking to find like minded people in the area that want to buddy up for support.

I am here looking to improve my health and start enjoying the small things in life again and maybe make a few new friends along the way that have had some of the same trails and tribulations in life.


10-13-09: Currently at 325lbs now and has my surgery scheduled fro 10-26-09.
10-27-09: Surgery was longer then expected with a few complications whihc made it take longer to do.
11-09-09: Back to hospital with Dehydration.
11-13-09: Dvt's found in both legs. Swelling and retaining water. Weight is 350lbs with extra water weight. Can't walk:( very sad.
12-27-09: Currently at 296lbs and still recovering from darn cold I caught.
1-20-10: Well haven't been doing much but I am currently still building strength up after surgery complications. I am at 285.2lbs now.
2-10-10: Well I am now a year older and at 277.6lbs. I am very happy. Couldn't have asked for better weigh it on bday.
3-22-10: Doing well over here with weigh in this morning at 262. I am finding that I am also able to get up and do more things without getting tired quickly. Hoping by summer Roller coasters will be in my future!
5-5-10 WOHOO I weighed in today and I am only couple pounds from the goal I set myself to get to by aug/10. I am very happy with this progress.

My Goals:
My short term goals are to loss 20lbs over the next few months, increase veggies and fruit, increase fiber and reduce calories intake by 300 cal a day and to swim at least three times a week.
My long term goals are to be able to ride a bike again, to stand longer then 20 minutes, to walk more then 15 minutes, to reach 280lbs.
My ultimate goal is to be 190lbs, no longer diabetic, lower cholesterol, and my Pseudotumor Cerebri to be reduced or even gone.

My Program:
At the moment I am not following any set plan I am however fallowing some guidelines set up by my nutritionist that I am working with. Who is calling my food plan “ skimp and save”.

Originally from Ontario, Canada moved to San Jose, CA in April 2006.

Other Information:
Hobbies I am all over the place. I love to watch movies, swim, read, sew, scrapbook, card making, jewelry making or just going for a drive down the coast with friends.

Movies I love humor, action, thirller and romance. Few of my favorites are: Ever After, Schindler's List, Sawshank Redemption, A Leasue of their own, A spimple twist of fate, Con Air, A Walk To Remember, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Davinci Code, Harry Potter (1-4), and Pay it Forward.

I always have to have music playing and it is normally on the radio on upbeat radio station. RIght now it is set to 99.7FM.
