Hi! Like most of you here, my weight has fluctuated over the years from a heavy 170 (I'm 5'4") to a slim 126. This year, I decided it was going to be all about ME and I was going to make some positive changes, including becoming more healthy. It's a daily struggle, but one I'm committed to now - not just for appearance's sake, but because I want to be active in my old age and I want to be a positive example for my nieces. Life is too short and I want to make the most of it.

My Goals:
My goals are to eat healthy and exercise most days of the week so I can be in great shape for the next big adventure that comes my way.

My Program:
I'm striving to eat healthy foods by using Cooking Light recipes, eating whole foods and eating normal portion sizes. I am exercising most days of the week by using my treadmill, walking outside, riding my bike (weather permitting). Once I feel established in my cardio workout, I will add yoga and resistance bands to my workout for my strength training. I've been using SparkPeople to track my progress, read articles and keep inspired.

Personal Information:
I'm 45 and live in Forest, VA. My biggest passions are reading, international travel and my 2 cats. I also love to cook, scrapbook and go birding, especially in places where I have never been.
