I am determined to stick to small, achievable goals and see results.

I am 41 and a married mom to 3 teens. I love artistic, creative things to do like writing, sewing, knitting, and dollmaking. I've lived in the Twin Cities for 19 years and love the area. The kids are very active so I am always looking for new ideas on keeping it all on track with a family. I work hard to keep my family eating healthy and exercising too...we just joined the YMCA for the summer and are thrilled and really staying on track.

I also like to do exercise dvds, Wii and sometimes walk outside with a friend. I'd like to get back to a Couch to 5K program so I can accompany my husband running and we can spend time together doing that.

Fitness Minutes: 3,727

My Goals:
Exercise at least 10 mins a day.

Go to YMCA 2-4 times per week.

Track calories daily and aim to keep in range.

Drink 8 glasses water a day.

Get 7 hrs sleep at night.

Learn to set boundaries and enforce them so that I have more time to make healthy choices in life.

My Program:
Basically working on my goals everyday. Baby steps. I tend to do dvds but want to learn to run with my husband to be outdoors and spend time together. Learn to use the gym to be effective in new areas and challenge myself.

I need to cook/prepare healthy foods at home to avoid eating out and the pitfalls that ensue from that.

Personal Information:
I'm 5' 1.

Other Information:
I love thrift stores and nail polish - I reward my weight loss/exercise successes with new colors or a shop trip for a little something new in a new size for a small cost.

    Hey there!! My brief SparkCoach review:

    It's much the same as what I do most every day and have for years, but I've always been very active on SparkPeople. As such, I deciding whether I want to pay for it. Part of me wants to support it (it's fairly inexpensive) to support Spark.

    Key features SparkCoach has you do daily:

    -A check-in on how you did in the past 24 hours
    -Fast break guidance
    -An inspirational something (often a short video either by SparkGuy, Coach Nicole, Dr. Birdy, etc.)
    -Links prompting you to track food and exercise
    -Link prompting you to something in the Community

    The differences: The videos, 25 daily points for completing SparkCoach.

    I'm also told that when you pay to join, you can e-mail a SparkCoach directly, so a bit more personalized.

    NOTE: You can try it for free for two weeks.
