Hi! My name is Amanda. Thanks for stopping by my page! I am a first grade teacher and the cheerleading coach for my district. I try to stay very active, but struggle with my eating habits. I have really yo-yoed up and down on my weight. I lose weight, then I gain it back.

I ran my first half marathon November 20, 2011 and finished in 2:30:01!!! I am a runner. Never in my life did I think I would change my gymnast power muscles into endurance muscles. I LOVE running and it is my definite out from everything. I am now training for my first ever MARATHON in November 2012!

Now it is time to start balancing this food thing! I am in limbo with the eating healthy/eating poorly cycle. I am trying my hardest to get in a healthy habit. I have started the Paleo lifestyle and I hope this helps me to balance things out. Through my journey I have learned that my body doesn't process grains or starches well at all, so the Paleo lifestyle seems to be a good match.

Here are my current goals and reward system I have come up with!

155 - Pedicure (July 29)
150 - 30 min relax in bath with glass of red wine (Aug 19)
145 – 2 New shirts (Sept 9)
143 – New Belly Button Ring
140 – 2 pairs of jeans (I better need them after losing 17 lbs) (Oct 14)
139 – Sexy date with hubby
138 – Full spa pedicure with mom
137 – Sperry’s
136 – New sexy dress
135 – Full body massage! Reached goal!! (Hope to be here by Marathon in November) (November 18)

    Have looked through the Paleo Diet and am gutted that the man says NO beans....
    Thats my protien...don't eat meat....
    so going to give it a go anyway....will just eath the beans instead of the meat which makes it pretty much the Eat to Live way of eating....

    praying for you with your ankle.....I remember some time ago you having hurt it one morning on a run.....
    tendonitis....I had that last year....felt like shin splint but wasnt.....I rested for a week and it was all good and I was back walking and racing again and have had no more probs with it....

    I thought of getting the info off the net however got the book,,.... will remember that the net is there next time i want to look into something...would certainly be cheaper....want to start the book tonight and read what i need over the weekend so I can get some pounds off....
    my lack of achievement is starting to miff me a bit and I am tired of struggling....
    Having gained 6kg since november is just not on any more....
    Guess we are on a simular journey...
