Welcome to my SparkPage.

i am retired, married for 49 years to my best friend. I am a mom of 4 and grandma of 7. These are the best jobs I could have.
This is not a diet, but rather I am traveling a healthy journey.

I am committing to the 5% spring challenge and will track my food, eat healthy food and stick to my plan

My Goals:
My goals are to lower my blood pressure and blood sugars by losing weight and moving more

1.I will drink 8-10 glasses of water a day
2. I will eat more fruits and veggies
3. I will try to get 7-8 hours of sleep
4. I am going to watch my carb intake
5. I will cut back on my sodium intake
6. Need to get blood pressure and blood sugars back in normal range
7. Get more steps in every day

My Program:
Eating healthy, eating fewer carbs, less sodium and getting in steps everyday. I believe everything in moderation.

Personal Information:
I enjoy crossword puzzles, listening to music, crocheting, counted cross-stitch, and working on genealogy. I enjoy cooking and like looking for new healthy recipes to try. I enjoy reading cookbooks. I love watching and cheering for the Chicago Cubs. I am a positive person always trying to find the good in things. I know I can control somethings, but God controls all things in our life.

Other Information:
I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and now I live in Wisconsin. I am a Chicago Cubs fan.
I love sitting in my kitchen watching all the birds come to the feeders.
Before I retired I was an appointment coordinator at our local Cancer Center. It was one of the most rewarding things I have done.
