Hi! My name is Marlena! February 11th 2013 was my 5 year spark anniversary!! This has been an amazing journey thanks to ALL OF YOU! MY SPARK FRIENDS! MY SPARK FAMILY!!! Thanks to Body By ViSalus shakes....I have lost 10 lbs in 29 days of my 90 Day challenge Body By ViSalus!

I am a single mother of 2 beautiful girls that are 11 and 17. I have a step son that has given me a beautiful grandbaby girl! Aubrie! Which is now almost 14 months old. Love my girls with all my heart. I am a Medical Assistant that works in Home Health Care. Also attending college once again to get my 2nd Associates in Health Care Support. Once semester left in the fall and done! I love working with people. I love encouraging others and helping them to succeed and in turn it helps me as well! I thank all my wonderful spark friends that have been there for me! Without you all I would not have came this far!!

I lost 35 lbs and had gained about 25 of that back and now Im down 43.2 lbs. After a little over 3 years I finally seen ONDERLAND for the first time in 16 years! This journey has not been easy! It has had its ups and downs. What is got me where I am is REFUSING TO GIVE UP!!! Im not where I want to be (YET) but Im not where I used to be either! I have learned a lot along the way. I have learned determination, motivation and a new way of life.

I have also learned that the scale is only a number. I measure my achievements in many different ways. The way I feel, the way my clothes fit now and I also take measurements once a month.

I am happier with myself than I have been in a long time! Im not where I want to be yet but Im not where I used to be! The key to winning this battle is to never give up. We have our bad days, weeks and sometimes even months. But as long as we hang in there and dont give up in the end WE WILL WIN!

I FINALLY GOT to ONDERLAND on MARCH 18, 2011! I This is MY YEAR!!! I met my 1st mini goal! STILL NOT GIVING UP! I CAN DO IT!!! I WILL GET TO MY ULTIMATE GOAL! And hope to NEVER see the 200's again!

To everyone just beginning, My advice to you is: Use all that Spark has to offer. The trackers, articles and work out videos. And of course (MY FAVORITE PART) the people, the support and motivation! It makes a world of difference!

On March 18, 2008 I started a team called "CHALLENGE + MOTIVATION = WEIGHT LOSS! It started out small but now over 16,000 people have joined. Its not just a team, its an amazing team. Its like God brought us all together! They are all so awesome! Someone could not ask for a better support system, for better friends.

My Goals:
My long time goal is to lose 100 lbs. My short term goal is to weigh 199! GOAL ACHIEVED 3/18/11!!! WOOHOO!

My next short term goal is 175lbs.

My other goal is to help as many people as I can by encouraging them because we are all on this journey together. A journey of hope, self esteem, health and most importantly a goal of being happier with who we are!

My Program:
I do my best each day to stay within my calorie range, drink my water and TRACK EVERYTHING I eat and drink each day!

I have learned to not be hard on myself when my day does not go perfect and that tomorrow is a brand new start.

Track all successes no matter how small and let the mistakes go! You can not change what has been done all you can do is do better after. So no sense in beating our selves up, it wont change a thing!

I WILL NOT GIVE UP!!!! This is a one day at a time journey! Not an overnight miracle! Sometimes I even have to take it one hour at a time. Some days we run through and others we have to trudge through or crawl, but the most important thing is to NEVER GIVE UP! We are worth it!!!
