I continue on a long, long plateau which I jut broke through in Feb. I am not looking for the ideal weight but I am looking for a weight that I can be comfortable with. My goal did have a long term date involved but I will re-set as the time comes near. So let's just say I am a work in progress and I am enjoying life to the fullest right now. I have had several set backs with family losses, my health & disabilities but I am working on doing a little pushing! Pools & water are my love but got little time there this winter. Even though I didn't do as I hoped, I made a very important goal to me and now have my sight set on a smaller and doable goal of 16#. I have spent 28 yrs in TX. & planning to return to MN. in the spring as we usually do. I now need to take care of me and lower my stress sources.
I am so thrilled to have gotten this far and hope that I can con't. to stay on a healthy path of life.

emoticon emoticon FOR MOTHER'S DAY~~JUST A MOM emoticon emoticon

She cant stand it when people say, "You're JUST a mom?"
Yes, she is JUST A MOM!!
That makes her an alarm clock, cook, maid, waitress,
teacher, nurse, referee, handyman, security officer,
    photographer, counselor, chauffeur, event planner,
hairdresser, personal assistant, & an ATM machine.
She scares away the boogieman. She doesn't get paid holidays,
sick pay or days off. She works DAY & NIGHT.
She's on call 24/7 for the rest of her life.
    She's 'JUST A MOM'!!!
She is a Mom to someone or to many and she would
do ANYTHING on this planet for them!
    She's..... 'JUST A MOM"!!.

emoticon emoticon emoticon HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the MOTHER'S,
the Mother's you have, and all the Mother's you know! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I remember reading an article that Iowa was the last state to still have 6 on6 girls' basketball and it had a lot of support throughout the state as well as complaints when the rules were changed. In college still in NYC we had a "roving forward" where ONE girl was allowed to run full court. That was me. In fact basketball was why I got contact lenses, so I could have an unobstructed view of the basket. Once I didn't play anymore I went back to glasses. Easier than the hard lenses of the era.

Thank you for reading my blog “Remember When Exercise was Fun” and sharing your own memories. While we all had “fun” in our own way, your experience was something I only read about in books. I love these Spark connections.
I also played basketball in HS, but back then "girls rules" were 6 on a team and you couldn't cross the center line. "Running?" Ooh too strenuous! The rule was 2 dribbles and pass.
We've come a long way thank goodness!
