    Thanks for checking in with me. I'm always happy to hear from you. Life happens even when we're trying to lose weight. You just need to start where you are and do what you can.

    I've had a tough few month, too. My mother passed away in May so I've been spending time dealing with her things and with all of the paperwork. I'm walking a lot more now and I've been able to truly enjoy living in a hiker's paradise. So far, though, my scales haven't responded in any meaningful way. I'm still within a few pounds of where I started. I feel better, though, and that is worth more than any number on a scale.

    Thank you again for dropping by my page. I may follow your lead in the challenge. It might energize me!
