    Hey Jim,
Funny my weigh in is on Tuesdays as well. It was on Mondays but one morning I didn’t like the results so I extended one day [evil grin]. It’s great to hear you are still doing so well.

As you are aware Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and those upper management people and workmates are asking you "how you done it" is because they want to imitate your success. Your providing motivation to others! Congratulations, its a hard thing to do.

Way to go with the blood pressure meds. Sure proof that your body is responding to the new healthy lifestyle. You may get off them entirely with time. I hope so.

As for my diet I am following a low carb diet. I am an engineer and believe in the science of restricting carbs. Trying to eat more fish, and dark green veggies, no bread, pasta, or rice. What I like about the diet is after a week or so you appetite really falls off. You stop craving food all the time.

As you are aware all diets work if you burn more calories than you consume. To achieve this I am working out 5 days per week. Walk/Jog every other day and the elliptical for 60 min on non-running days.

I am little bummed today because I only lost 2 pounds last week. My weight loss is slowing down as I expected it would. I should be happy with 30 pounds in 7 weeks and I knew it would slow down...but I am still a little bummed.

I have started the c25K program. Its a 9 week program to go from the couch to a 5K in 9 weeks. This really has got me motivated!!! You can check it out at:

I am thinking of starting to blog, however I don’t know what to say. I have enjoyed reading yours. When you sit down to write how do you come up with ideas or topics to talk about?

The only thing in life that ALWAYS works is perseverance.

Hey buddy.....I just saw your comment from the 19th, sorry I haven't responded. Geez, time is just flying by and I keep forgetting to blog, or check my page. Good grief, this getting older thing sucks!! lol I'm not going down without a fight though and I'm gonna look G O O D as an old lady!!

Did you figure out what was causing the semi-plateau? I never did and only took off about 6 pounds this month. VERY strange, but the even stranger (yet awesome) part was that my waist shrunk 2 inches from last month. ?!?!? I'll take it, improvement is improvement and once I get 2 more inches off my waist, I will be in a much safer zone.

Take care man.....drop a line when you get a chance!
