I am a 23 year old female looking to modify my current lifestyle. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and dog, Snickers. Also, I love traveling, writing, reading, and hiking. I am a recent graduate of Michigan State University, and am currently working in publishing. I love to laugh and I am relatively easy-going, yet I do tend to take an introspective outlook on things I am extremely passionate about. I am excited about taking a more serious approach to achieving my desired weight-loss, and I am glad to be on SparkPeople.com!

My Goals:
I would like to lose atleast 30 pounds come August. I love the way I feel when I am fit; and I am much more confident with my physical appearance when I feel strong. In the past few months, I have gained over 30 pounds due to life changes post-undergrad, and an irregular work schedule. Now is the time I have decided to finally become proactive about my desired weight loss. I used to integrate distance running into my schedule while in college, but with the rigors of maintaining a new full-time job, I have not completely become accustomed to integrating excercise into my daily routine yet. This has to change!

My Program:
I am going to track my calorie intake on a daily basis. I am also going to work-out ATLEAST 4 times a week. In addition to the aforementioned, I am going to give up smoking, cold turkey. Essentially, I really need to tap into my inner-motivation in order to achieve my goals. I know I can do it, and I've realized that it is merely a matter of me taking that initial leap towards success in order to do so!

    Hi Jina !

    Its sweltering hot here in the dead central part part of India. At least you are COOL amidst the downpour :) Look at the bright side always (P.S. I hate the rains too...)

    As for the contraption called the "weight ticker"...go to the My Home tab, in the left side you'll see the "Your Diet Tools"...go to Weigh-in...enter your current weight & other measurements & hit save. Your current weight willbe updated on your ticker in all your posts. I hope you get it right the first time. Also remember, it doesnt work if your current weight is more than your starting weight. For that you will have to go to "Change your goals" in the My Home tab & reset your data (you will not lose your points).

    Hi Jina !

    I achieved my goal weight a long time ago & I only just realized that I rather stick with it to look healthy. I was vaccilating between should I stay at 110 or should I go down to 106 ??? I decided yesterday when I reached STAGE IV that I will maintain between the range.

    Hi Jina, Thanks for stopping by my page and blog. I agree, we do have a lot in common. I'm so glad DST is earlier now because I can go for walks after work and it is still daylight. There is just not enough time in the day for a 40-60 hour work week and lots of self-care. I'm addicted to TV, also. :-) What was up with Grey's last night?!? ~sisusis~
