I am so excited that you found my page. I hope you will make me one of your Spark friends if you too have tried to go at this several times and are determined you have found a fresh road to go down. Walk it with me as I definitely need supporters and would love to give some back.
At 60 I am still trying to get the hang of following through. I'm an enthusiastic starter but not so much on the finishing part. I need some encouragement and I've always found that here on Spark so I keep returning. I am attempting to start my winning journey this time. Restarting Take Shape For Life. The time is now ~ let’s do this!

Fitness Minutes: 1,583

My Goals:
The most I ever struggled with my weight was just getting baby weight off and then as I approached the mid 40's I feel like I went on a 10 lb. a year plan. I wake up thinking about it and I go to bed thinking about it. I have never been a negative person and weight issues are drowning my light. I hope with Spark People's encouragement I will find my way back to a life of fitness and health. Get to know me and come with me, I promise to not go back.

My Program:
I am past the middle of life and still trying to come to terms with the fact that I can't do it like I use to. After 4 knee repairs and being told "No More" low impact and walking til I drop and learning to lift a few weights will be my specialties. I am using Medifast.

Personal Information:
I am from a small town
but have big city enthusiasm. I have been married 40 years, have 5 daughters, have gained 5 son in laws, 9 Grandsons and 3 Princesses.

Other Information:
The men the world call lucky, will tell you every one....success comes not with wishing, but with hard work bravely done.

    HI...........it was good to hear from you! I agree with your girls about the junk /yummy foods! Teach the grandchildren to eat healthy and treat their bodies right! You dont need those foods in the house. I appreciated my mom sooo sooo much when she offered my kids a nice big bowl of strawberries and whipped cream instead of cookies ,icecream and/or chips etc! Spoil then with your love instead of with those yummy yet unhealthy snacks! Do I sound like a nagging parent! hahaha.............I spend a lot of time being the mom and the nag..hahah.......talk to you soon! hugs Tina

    You will enjoy this, I know I do.
    I have issues with the sugar/salt deal as well---it was like I put down 1 habit for the other. I finally got sugar under control then I replaced it for sunflower seeds--stopped the sunflower seeds only to pick up peanuts in salted shells---I could not figure out why I was not losing weight so I started taking the peanuts out of the salty shells and it did help--It was like I was addicted to salt---I feel better now and I feel that I am on my way---so good luck to you!!! emoticon
