Well I hit my goal last year and I maintained pretty well! This summer's indulgence got away with me a little bit though, and I gained 10 lbs.

So I'm back again to start being more conscious again.

I'm training for a couple runs coming up. I have a 10k in about 3 weeks (mid-October 2014), and a half-marathon in March. I'm really nervous about the half-marathon!

In the time since I've last logged in, I've switched careers and moved countries! I am now a full time physics teacher and I live in Germany (near the border with the Czech Republic). I am absolutely loving my life here (though the beer isn't helping with my weight maintenance)... but I've met several friends who are all living healthy lifestyles, and one of who has turned out to be the PERFECT running partner for me, so I feel very lucky!

[X] Run a 10K in 2013

[ ] Learn how to effectively weight train without the use of a gym

[X] Stop being obese (under 180 lbs)

[X] Reach 152 lbs by February 2013 (March)

[X] Fit in my skinny jeans (woohoo!!)

[X] Learn a new healthy vegan recipe each week

My Program:
I'm tracking my nutrition, trying to eat around 1300 calories per day. Trying to burn between 200-300 calories per day through vinyasa yoga and interval jogging, as well as building strength through home-based weight lifting.

    U said it! i cannot do yoga, it is to slow for my brain. I think i would be claustrophobic, trapped in my head doing yoga. I need to keep me occupied. crazy, chaos.
    I too am thinking about a half. I have never run before either. There are a ton but no one will do it with me.
    Belguim? then i guess we can't meet halfway to do one together huh?! lol!
    I am having in laws in tonight for supper and we had a meeting over lunch so i am wondering when can i exercise today? Do u find it time gets in your way or lack of motivation?

    well it all started with the biggest loser at work. I lost 24 pounds in 8 weeks. I exercised my ass off, (literally) walked two 15 min. breaks, ran at lunch as far and as along as i could, then walked at home with baby, jogged if i wasn't too tired from the day. I don't eat any starchs. which i know is bad. So r u ready!? Starting now!?:)))
    I have 20 to go by august i think is my goal date, i have been hung up on 225 for a while. Hubby wants me to 180, I am 5'8, large frame, a whole lotta german and norwegian, so i am large without any fat on me. my hubby teases me about being an avatar. he is terrible i know. I would love to be at 180 but that scares me! too much. I have to think in increments or i obssess or quit. I can't weigh myself too much either or i get obssessed! Very fine lines for me with everything. a little OCD i would sayheehee

    Actully i have 40 total loss too! I wanted to get rid of ten by end of jun, and ten pounds a month till gone! let me know if u r interested in keeping each other from being distracted!
