My Goals:
Long Term Goals:
- run a half marathon
- become amazingly healthy and fit.
- lose 114.5 pounds
Medium Goals:
- make exercise a daily part of my life.
- eat three fruits and five vegetables every day.
- love myself
-say "I will" not "I will try" and then do it.

Short Term Goals-
- drink eight glasses of water every day
-record my calorie intake

My Program:
Blogging helps me stay on track. It makes me set aside some quality time to think about this journey and discover who I am. It is part of what makes SP work for me. I read other peoples' blogs, because I learn from them. I track every day because that is also what makes this work. I log in every day. I support my sparkfriends and other sparkers. It is all the parts that come together that have changed the way I live.

Personal Information:
I am an artist and a High School Visual Arts Teacher. I have been teaching since I was 23 years old. I have a wonderful supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. I also have my super sweet Standard Poodle, Zoe. I live on 100 acres in SW Colorado. I love where I Iive. I am ready for a change in my life, so when I turn fifty this year, I am retiring and going to radically change my life. I am getting in shape. I am going to concentrate on my art work and traveling. I am opening my eyes to all the possibilities that are out there.

Other Information:
I love to paint and work with clay. I love to read, mainly mysteries but read all kinds of books. I like working in my yard and garden. I love playing with my dog.

    Thank you for the blog comment. I have to lower my cholesterol and nothing exciting ever happens on Tuesday, so why not make it special. Meatless Tuesday!! It's all a learning process, I really do like trying out new recipes, so it's also just another excuse for me to torture my family! emoticon

    Frog catcher #2 right here. I had 2 younger brothers so I could never show fear in front of them, plus we grew up in Florida and frogs were everywhere! My mother would die everytime I came home covered in dirt while wearing one of my many Polly Flinders(?) dress & knee socks. LOL

    Thank you for stopping by. It was a great day... and I am actually going to do a obstacle course run called the WARRIOR DASH in the fall... right after school starts back up. Will be good for the FALL stress level! It is a 5K with mud, water, heights etc... OH GOOD GRIEF it will be hard and fun!

    Hoping hat your journey is going well. My weight loss hit a stand still and actually edged up during the school year. I am aiming for some losses this summer.
