I'm 26 and fat. I wasn't before my round of knee surgeries, and I started a list of bad habits I have carried with me for 5 years. I used to be active, healthy and counted calories. Up until very recently, I didn't even own a scale!

Now that I do own a scale, I am terrified of it. I hate the numbers that show up. I hate the way I feel when I look down at it. And even though I have lost some weight, I cannot find joy in my success because there is always such a long way to go. I even find that I reset my weight tracker on here every few months to reflect my current weight instead of the few pounds I've lost! I don't know why I am afraid of success, but I really seem to be.

I am working on weight loss, strength training, stamina, and my emotional eating. And as someone who had an eating disorder as an adolescent, the last is the hardest. I tend to either eat without thinking or overthink my eating, and I either seriously overeat or seriously undereat. Hopefully one day I can strike a balance and be able to focus on a healthy lifestyle instead of just what goes into my mouth.

My Goals:
Ultimately, I want to lose 100 lbs. With that, however, I want to feel cute again, be able to run a 5K and play rugby without having a heart attack!

My Program:
Portion control and 30 mins of exercizing every day. I also stretch every morning and working on my emotional health.

Personal Information:
I live in Indianapolis with my wonderful boyfriend and 3 cats. I am so lucky to have an amazing family and wonderful friends!

Rugby and swimming are the only foms of exercise I enjoy.

My favorite color is orange and my favorite food is pierogis!

    Hellooooo and how are you. I have been away for a long time and now have M O D (My Own Diet) which forbids nothing, only counts calories and veers towards alkaline. I got tired of feeling deprived so made up my own diet. I would love to know how you are doing.

    You are so welcome. I have subscribed to your blog and I shall stick around because it helps me too. A line from a song I heard says "while you're helping your brother your own hurt has gone away..." and I truly believe that. I am a rebel and need a kick in the butt at times, but if I stop thinking too much of my own problems, life gets better. We are here to help each other girl! emoticon
