I'm Diane, also known as Rissa. I went to USC and graduated with a Biology degree! I'm proud of that! I am on disability for bipolar and other issues. I'm not ashamed of it- I'm proud of that, too!! I work hard to overcome my issues and I do want to go get my Master's or a Nursing Practitioner degree and go back to work. I've accomplished the goal of getting a job! I'm a CNA and I work in a Long-Term Care Facility. I live in Los Angeles where I grew up.

I try and walk at least a couple miles a day at least 3-4 times a week, with my latest record jogging 9 miles straight! I can't wait until I can run again! I used to run Cross-Country and was doing 5k's on hills in 33 minutes. My long-term goal is to walk/jog the Los Angeles Marathon in 2020! My goal for 2019 is to do a half marathon, hopefully in less than 4 hours!

I managed to lose weight and keep it off in 2018! I am now at my lowest weight since my teens! As of 12/29/18 I'm 179.8 pounds! I was trying to get into Onederland at the start of the Spring 2018Challenge, and I did it!! I not only got into Onederland, I got solidly into it! Unfortunately, I had a heath setback in the Spring 2019 Challenge, and I'm pushing 200 again. I refuse to get there, so I'm committed to going to the gym and walking again.

I am in the Cloverleafs for the Summer 5% Challenge, and they have motivated me and helped me get into the 170's I'm at my weight when I was in my teens!! My highest weight was in the 280's, so I had lost over 110 pounds overall with Spark People!!!!

My Goals:
I would like to be in the 160 pound range, and to be able to *run* a 5k again. I walked one in November 2017! My ultimate goal is to run a marathon. I plan on doing the Los Angeles Marathon in March 2020!

My Program:
Looking for something new. Right now, just trying to eat healthy, when hungry, what my body is really *craving* (mostly protein and salads).
