Hi There! Welcome to my page! I'm Lesley. I am married to a wonderful man for 34 years (as of 2020) with 2 grown sons and my fur baby (who is my favorite of all of them - LOL)

I have hypothyroid/Hashimoto's - diagnosed about 25 years ago. It is really easy for me to put on weight, really hard to lose it. I find that as long as I maintain a certain level of activity, I can maintain my weight without an issue. I watch what I eat and rarely eat junk foods.

I joined the Spring 5% challenge and using this as a springboard to lose my 5% but continue that to lose 30lbs. It used to be 20, and Covid remote work did not help my situation which left me less active since I wasn't commuting to work and walking a lot.

My Goals:
I need to lose 30lbs.

Make my mornings productive. Exercise and meditation before starting work.

My Program:
* Meal plan/prep at the beginning of each week.
* Portion control - weigh portions to make sure it is all accountable.
* Track food
* Walk 6000 steps a day.
* Ride the Peloton at least 15 minutes a day.
* Do one of the Peloton other exercise videos 2x week

Personal Information:
I live in Massachusetts, just north of Boston. I love to travel, but I love being home. It is my happy place. We have made our home a summer resort so being here esp., in the warmer months is quite enjoyable.

I love the seasons, but slowly not enjoying the winter months anymore. I know some day, I will become a snow bird, but where I fly to is still yet unknown.

    Thursday's food for thought" “The secret of making lasting change is to acknowledge and accept that real change takes time and patience. We didn't get chronically ill overnight. We didn't gain weight in one week or even one month. Good chance, it may take us longer than twenty-one days to overcome whatever we're facing. Whether it's something physical, emotional, spiritual, or a combination, we may need to be realistic in our goals for meaningful change to happen. The first step is getting started!” `― Dana Arcuri,

    Happy Friday! Since it’s Mother’s Day weekend, here’s are a few jokes I hope will make you giggle.

    A mother was teaching her three year old daughter The Lord's Prayer.
    For several evenings at bedtime, she repeated it after her mother.
    One night she said she was ready to solo.
    The mother listened with pride, as she carefully enunciated each word right up to the end...
    "And lead us not into temptation," she prayed, "but deliver us some e-mail, Amen."

    One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast to her brunette hair.
    She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white, Mommy?"

    Her mother replied, "Well, every time you do something wrong and make me unhappy, one of my hairs turns white."

    The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and said, "Mama, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"

    Q: What did mother broom say to the baby broom?

    A: It's time to go to sweep.

    Even though the toddler was having a furious tantrum, his mom was unfazed. “You may as well give up on the crying,” I heard her say as she led him to the store exit. “You’re stuck with me for 18 years.” —Sheila Custer

    Enjoy your weekend, and Happy Mother's Day if you are a mother.
