I'm a mom and I need to start taking care of myself to take care of my daughter. ~*~*~*~*~ Goal: get myself back down to 125 pounds and to help me get there I will walk at least 10,000 steps daily and try to limit my junk food intake. One thing I need to work on ia cardio and strength training.

My Goals:
To live a happy healthy lifestyle

My Program:
Everything has to be in moderation........ If i want something sweet, i'll have a piece of chocolate instead of a bar. I've tried to substitute my whites with whole grains. But not white rice because i just can't! Eat a little more veggies each day and keep within my calorie count. OH and try to fit in ANY cardio/strength whenever i can... I do have a busy schedule.

I know if i just keep going eventually i'll get there...

Hello Sylvia! Regarding the water, I had a hard time working up to the 8 glasses myself, and now, most days I drink 12 or more. Try drinking tea without the tea bag, just the hot water. I used to do that, and rather began to enjoy it (I do like my tea weak in the first place). Do you drink your tea with milk or sugar? That is not good if you do, plenty of extra unwanted calories just there. I got there, you can too.

Hello and welcome to the beginning of your journey to a healthier lifestyle. SparkPeople really works, but the key is you and consistency. Find and join Spark Teams that fit your interests and needs. Stay active on your teams and post frequently. (best place to talk to friends you have never met, and get all the support and motivation you will need). Track your food, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and add exercise to your day. Take baby steps, and before you know it those baby steps become giant leaps. SparkPeople is free, but the rewards are priceless.
