I am now 43 years old and struggling to find the power to lose weight, which has started to affect my health quite negatively. I started off my weight loss journey this time at 305 lbs. I would like to get down to 180 lbs., which will be my lowest weight since I was about 15 years old. I made it down to 198 lbs. once before because of having my stomach stapled, and almost lost my life because of it. The lowest weight I have reached in the last 8 years has been 275 lbs., so my first goal is to get back to that weight. This time I intend to do it a safe and healthy way and make sure that I keep it off for the rest of my life. I want to spend the rest of my life healthy, rather than always feeling sick, tired and ashamed of myself.

Fitness Minutes: 3,656

My Goals:
I want to exercise on a regular basis (7 days a week) for at least 1/2 hour per day. Ideally, I would like to walk around the lake every morning, which would be about a 1 hour 40 minute walk, but I won't push that yet.

I want to firm up my body and get into a healthier weight range for my height.

I want to get under 250 lbs. so I can be healthy enough to have another baby.

I want to get out of plus sized clothing, and be able to buy clothing at any clothing store that I want to.

I want to be able to play on the playground equipment with my kids. I don't want to constantly have to worry that I am going to break it because of my size.

I want to weigh less than my husband.

My Program:
Currently I am trying to gain some motivation to be able to make my changes stick. I am able to start exercising and eating well, but I can't seem to stick to it. Got to figure out my obstacles before I can be truly successful, I guess.

Also, I am currently involved in a twelve-week challenge with Team 300 lbs. Plus. I am hoping that this challenge will be enough to get me going. :-)

Personal Information:
I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I am a stay-at-home mom with 3 beautiful children. I have a wonderful husband who is currently working on his Master's Thesis is Social Studies. Whenever I get the chance to go back to University, I will be trying to get my Undergraduate degree in English so I can teach in the department. For now I am content to wait until my youngest child starts school and I am able to go out and get a menial job to bring some money in.

    Are you interested in a Challenge?

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs. Often we do the challenge in a game form, we have BINGO and TIC TAC TOE or seasonally themed. For Winter we had Help Santa Fill His Sleigh, Run Rudolf Run and Super Bowl. If you decide this might be for you you can leave your name on the waitlist for the Spring challenge.
