I am a disabled person who uses a power chair so I cannot do exercises as most people do, however I do some excercises from my wheelchair mostly upper body and strenghtening, however I do do some cardio especially with a special bicycle and other aids. I am still interested in being as healthy as possible. Some of my medical conditions include Congestive Heart Failure accompanied with 4 heart attacks, COPD, Gastric Ulcrs, Osteoporosis, Hypothyroid, Epilepsy, Crohn's Disease, Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Polyarthralgia Rheumatica, Diabetes, Cerebellum Ataxia, Barrett's Eosophagus, Raynauds Disease and Macular Degeneration. I have had 3 operations on my left hip in 7 months and none of them worked, I have also had operations for my ulcers as they were bleeding. I had 2 stents put in my heart valves in August and have just finished having Cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I have to see the Back Surgeon in June and hope that I don't have to have surgery on my back. I have 3 bulging disks that are sitting on a nerve so I cannot feel my feet. So you can see why I am trying to stay as healthy as possible but it can be difficult at times. However I always try to look around and know that there are people a lot worse of then me. The boys in this picture are my great nephews and I am very proud of them. I used to work in television and did a lot of photography, The pictures you see on my spark page I took. I worked in television and also had my own production company. However do to limitations I can no longer hold a camera and that is something I miss very much because that was my life. I would like to meet someone here online, just as a buddy to talk to. Right now I am sending emails to shutins for a company that services people with disablities and I really enjoy that because I know excatly how that feels. I also love music, reading and of course my computer because especially in the winter I am housebound and sometimes even in the summer. and I use mycomputer to send those emails to the shut ins. Just a note to say hi and someone is thinking about you and cares. These people enjoy these emails because a lot of them don't have family or friends who stop by to say hi, so alot of them are lonely and these email just remind them that someone does care, and hopefully it gives them a little bit of cheer. I know how it feels to look at four walls 24-7 so I enjoy sending out these emails. That makes me feel like I am doing something to make someones world just a little nicer for a moment or two and that gives me a reason to go on.

My Goals:
I would like to keep in relatively good shape. I have many health I still havproblems and I am in a power wheelchair so upper body strength is important to me and I also try to keep what movement e in my legs.

My Program:
I am doing some cardio and strengthning exercises, trying to watch what I eat and try to get outside and get fresh air and sunshine as much as possible.

Personal Information:
I am from Orillia, Ontario, Canada. My email address is I live alone in supportive housing. I love animals, music, reading and doing things for others. This makes me feel like I am useful. I send emails to shut ins every morning just to let them know that someone is thinking about them and hoping they have a good day. This makes me feel good because I know what it is like to look at four walls 24-7. Don't get me wrong I love life and I do not feel sorry for myself, these are just the cold facts. When your body deceives you it is very distressing. I used to work in television and had my own production company so you can see I was very active and now I can't even hold a camera.

Other Information:
I had a cat for 18 years and just lost her a couple of years ago. I am trying to decide whether or not to get another one or not.
