Next month we will have been an AZ for 5 years. I am still trying to become a successful gardener. Desert gardening is a 180 degree turn from the lush landscape and plants I have been familiar with. I have been guilty of planticide in trying to landscape my yard and garden. I even have managed to kill catus. We live at the base of Catalina mountains and I love looking at them in the different light and shadows during the day. There are many species of animals that we see in our yard. Gamble quail, roadrunners, white wing doves, humming birds, rabbits, hawks, lizards, coyotes, the neighborhood bobcat, and rattlers. We have had many challenges since we moved. Health, pool issues, house issues, money issues, deaths of family members just to list a few broad categories. I believe better times are still ahead. This was my post in 2016 I am updating my page as we moved from upstate NY to Tucson AZ. I am still unpacking and have yet to start back up finding a fitness center or exploring the facilities were we are renting. I will miss my team mates and friends in NYState. The information that follows was where I was and the wonderful support group that I left. I am competing as a team member with a great group of women. Our program is called Dare to Lose! There are some similarities to the biggest loser. We meet twice a week for 1 1/2 hours with our trainers, have challenges and weigh ins and are responsible for watching our food intake and exercising at least 2 more times a week. Each session is 8 weeks long so there is a mix of newcomers and those who have participated in earlier sessions. There is a lot of positive support from both the participants, trainers and other fitness center members. We are working hard at getting fit and losing weight.

I ended up calling the vet on Thurs, and yesterday went over and picked up some more antibiotics, and if he get anymore after this regiment I am to bring him over the they will look further into seeing what is causing this. I first had to lance and drain it, cause the vet said the pills won't work unless it can drain. So lanced another one myself. That makes 3 for me and 1 for the vet. At least his appetite is holding.
Right now we are getting a nice gentle down pour. one big bang of thunder from Thor and then the rain. We will take it, the garden could really use it.

Dorothy Lynch???? It is a wonderful French Like Dressing. Love that stuff. Maybe it isn't in your area. Let me know if you see it. I even use it in my BBQ sauce, on baked chicken, and even in my Tavern's.(sloopy Joes) Has many uses.
