Well I'm back again...... I had a baby in May and now need to lose the baby weight plus some. Although this weight loss will be difficult for me I really want/have to do this. None of my pre-pregnancy clothes fit me and I don't like the way I look in the mirror. It's totally worth it when I look at my son, but it's time that I get back in shape! I would love to get to 145 but I would love it even more to get to 135. I'm going to try and have small goals so that I don't get discouraged and realize that I didn't gain this weight overnight so I definitely won't lose it overnight. Here is to eating right and making time in my busy day to exercise!

My Goals:
I would like to definitely lose 10 pounds, but more than that I would like to make a lifestyle change and become healthier all around. I need to not be such an emotional eater. I have the mentality that if I mess up a little bit I should count the whole day as a loss and just pig out. I really don't have much control when it comes to how much I eat. Portion size is a MUST!!!

My Program:
I am trying to eat healthier, more fruits, veggies, fish, chicken and LESS of the foods that have made me chunky, i.e.'s my downfall.

Personal Information:
I'm recently married and quite in love. Unfortunately, married life has added a few pounds and I would like to get rid of them.

Other Information:
I love to read, especially Stephen King, I'm obsessed with my dog Wrigley and my cat Sassy Pantalones.

hey! dontcha just hate the holidays in that aspect?? uhg! i totally avoided sparkpeople too for a bit because i was so busy the last month before the wedding that i hadnt been working out and i was totally eating like CRAP!!! ew. but ya know, we all fall off the wagon occasionally, hopefully we just remember to catch up and hop back on before we get too far behind! i was watching "bulging brides" on tv tonight and even though my wedding is over, it gave me a little inspiration as im trying to push myself back into my better habbits. im kinda thinking i might even have to just break down on my fight against it and start measuring foods for a while. if not for me, for my husband. i am getting so sad watching him gain so much weight...its really effecting me. so tonight we went to the grocery store to get some ice cream lol which is ok of course in moderation...and i got frozen yogurt, but then i also bought sandwich stuff with whole grain wheat bread and a bunch of healthy snacks. im actually SICK of fast food. we've just eaten it so much lately ick. now i just gotta get re-motivated to keep going to the gym. i really should be since i really improved my cholesterol by 8 points! its just so freakin hard! i am also applying for the show "the biggest loser" at least for my husband, i would love to see him lose the weight for good. hes not that bad right now, but he is overweight for his height, his navy career is in jeopardy because of it, and i dont want him to become morbidly obese. anyway i gained like half of my weight back from the cruise! my brand new clothes are already tight. no bueno! i hope you are seeing some success!

hello! well hows it going? i havent gotten an update in a little bit... when i was in sacramento i was down to 196.4 but i think after that, even though i was still working out, i went a little nuts on my food since we needed to go grocery shopping really bad so we kept eating out until we did. so i was teatering a couple lbs...but today i weighed myself and im finally back down to actually a smidge lower...196.0! yay! i just want it to fall off already! btw, did i tell you i tried on my dress size and it fits!!! so now maybe they will have to take it in...that would be so awesome! anyway i hope you're still doing well, send me an update!

thanks for all your support! i hope you're right about the cholesterol thing! that would make me feel awesome! i was reading your new intro on your page, and its kinda becoming that way for me too about not worrying so much about the goal weight. im more focused on other goals within that like the cholesterol and just making sure i fit the dress. im not even really stressed about getting in shape for the wedding because i know that 10-15lbs to fit the dress is completely doable, im already over half way there and have 2 months to go. so another thing is...ive been wearing my husbands belt because i dont really fit into women's belts lol and i noticed that its almost not going to work anymore cuz im on the last hole! (meaning its too big of course) that was a super good feeling! i think the best part is, i dont even feel "over it" yet for the working out, usually im totally hating it by now! makes me think ill really stick with it this time...i hope anyway!

oh my god you look so beautiful on your wedding day!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy for you! I know what you mean about making this a lifestyle...I actually have to think beyond the weight now as well because sadly at only age 23 my doctor is very concerned about my cholesterol and is on the brink of putting me on meds to manage 23!!!!! that is so ridiculous! so the problem she said is that my good cholesterol isn't high enough but exercise/cardio/making my heart pump is what brings that number up so HOPEFULLY since I am being extremely active now, we will see a difference on my next screening in 2 months. As of this morning, Im down 8.6lbs! The girl I met on craigslist was pretty much a flake, of course, but at least the thought of meeting someone there got me to start going to the gym and I have gone 5 days/week since. I met someone there the 1st day I went and we've been chatting up a storm every day since then. She's really nice, an older lady maybe in her 40's but she's great company and its making the cardio fly by! The other trick I have found on days that she isn't there is listening to audio books...its been so distracting for me, I get so into the book that Im more so counting the time as "aww I only have 10 more mins to listen to my book" instead of "man i really wish this 10 mins would hurry up this sucks" haha. I've also been walking dogs for extra money while I look for a more permanent job, so thats another 90 mins of walking added to my day, m-f. If this doesn't get the weight off and my cholesterol down, I don't know what will! I told myself that at the end of each month I'm going to go try on the dress in the size I ordered and see if it's any closer to fitting so that I can adjust accordingly if needed. I am really anxious to go but I've got the rest of this week first! Its been pretty hard to not go in and try it on haha! I hope I see a difference, even if its just a small one. Anyway I know you can do this! Like you said...its a LIFESTYLE. If your hubby jumps on board, it will make it even easier for you. For the first time, my hubby and I are on the same page at the same time with this, he's lost 6% body fat in about 1.5 months. Its been that much more motivating when we support each other and make good choices together. :) Keep me posted! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
