I appreciate your comment on my blintz blog. Your bringing only plated foods to the table reminded me of a post Thanksgiving 'eat the leftovers' lunch we had. The other woman and I decided to set up serving dishes on the kitchen counter and let people help themselves. My husband decided to speed things along and drafted the other husband plus some boys to carry things to the dining room table. She and I shrugged. They were doing the heavy work.

Tufty Fluffytail was a red squirrel. He and his 'friends' were characters created in the 50's to teach young children primarily about road safety. Very popular during the 50' 60's 70's and early 80's. Still used to some extent these days but not so much of a 'thing' as in his heyday.

Thanks for your comment on my Community Feed post! I think that's a really great idea, and that's what I'm going to do!

My boyfriend's mom is definitely a "Shows love through food" type of gal and instead of "getting on" her about making too much, I think if if I explain that I need her help, she'll be able to whip me into shape.

She regularly makes salads and has fresh fruit, it's just usually, when she makes food, it's twice as much as any of us can eat, and nobody at their house is big on left overs so it will help two ways: everyone's health AND cutting down on wasteful spending... so I guess three ways.. cut back on food waste!

    THANK YOU for the suggestion!

Thanks so much for your input on my blog. I did have a lovely day with new friends and met many very nice people while touring them about this new garden of vegetables. It is fascinating to learn something with each new garden and person.
