I've recently moved back to the USA after living in and working in India. I feel healthy again and want to find ways to continue to feel motivated, healthy and balanced.

After moving to India, I've discovered the spiritual side of yoga, become a devotee of daily meditation practice, and have lost 20 pounds - most of which was due to a drastic shift in diet and getting sick quite often. However, I'm now on a path towards making myself the number one priority in my life. I do weight training three times a week and am trying to become a runner again. And I try to take time to "slow down" each day in the hectic (yet amazing) life I have...yet I am finding this difficult back in the USA. I constantly feel "rushed" and that I'm always "go go going" somewhere. It's a struggle to bring that balance and harmony I learned in India back to the USA.

I'm learning to just "let it flow" and go with it. Living in India has taught me that life is too crazy to be stressed; no matter what we do, there is always going to be an added stressor. So, why not try to make the most of it and just be happy?

My Goals:
SHORT TERM:
-Exercise at least five days a week (...just go after work! It's on the way home after all!)
-Complete all the stages of The New Rules of Lifting for Women.
-Mediate for 10 minutes each day

LONG TERM:
-Become a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher
-Run another half marathon by summer 2013

My Program:
I am currently doing Stage 2 of The New Rules of Lifting for Women. At minimum, I do two strength training workouts per week; maximum is three sessions per week.

I just recently started doing Insanity. Wish me luck, as plyometrics and coordination are my nemeses.

It's a struggle to find time to meditate in the USA. I have some great mantras that I need to continue to work through.

Personal Information:
I'm back in Phoenix, Arizona after living in Pune, India for the past year.

I'm working full time and going to school full time to prepare for a Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

I love reading my Kindle, doing yoga, zombies, traveling to new places, cooking, learning new languages (I currently know Spanish and Portuguese), and wandering.

Thank you! I failed at running in the morning. I'm going to try again next week though. This last week was totally exhausting, so I caught up on sleep instead. But I finished week 3 yesterday and ran outside!
PS... I did a report on the "festival of colors." That is so awesome that you got to participate in it!!

You're gonna be surprised with this one. It was more fat ! Not too much cardio, just 2 Zumba classes a week. HIgher calories. It worked for me anyway. I lost 3 inches in 7 weeks. I have a before and after picture in one of my blogs. I won an online transformation challenge in Januaray.

I am getting my groove! Week three of five weeks of training!! I cannot WAIT to run outside. It was beautiful here today, but so, so windy, my run became frustrating! Are you a morning runner? I'm really going to try hard to be tomorrow. I imagine early morning runs to be awesome and enlightening, it's just the getting out of my wonderful warm bed that is the problem...
