Fast Forward-April 2013-(read blog for update)

The journey is for a lifetime, not a moment, not a season, not a special occassion. Those are just milestones to help us succeed on the journey that's ahead.

Wow I’m FORTY, and have been on the journey to a healthy me for quite sometime, and great things have happen to me since joining spark in 2007

• Gave up beef (most of the time)
• Released my cravings for Mountain Dew
• Exercise quite regular and totally enjoy it!
• Lost 28 pounds
• Took up biking
• Ran a few 5k’s
• Participated in a Triathlon
• And best of all, I learned to do me!!!!!

So now I’m officially 40, - and what’s next on the journey to healthy me. One of my first goals is to spend more time with my Hubby and include him on my journey. We spent so much time the last few years working on individual goals and raising kids, we forgot to, spend time with each other. Below are a few things we have already started to work on.

• Hubby and I are taking morning walks
• Church regularly together
• Take a vacation in the Spring 2012

Sept 7, 2008- CASA 5k- 51.14
May 17,2009-Danskin-12 mile bike ride
Sept 19, 2010- CASA 5K-47 mins

Cardio five times a week.

Prepare lo carb meals, utilize Weight Watchers point system and stay within my calorie intake.

Fruits and Veggies, and occasional 100 calorie snacks packs.

300 fitness mins-weekly
no soda
increase fruits and veggies, decrease pasta, & breads,

Personal Information:
Been on the rollercoaster for quite sometime, however I decided during my 40th year, this is it!!! My weight loss has always been slow no matter what I do; I can’t seem to loss more than 5 to 6 pounds a month. I normally get frustrated and just quit, but not this time, I am in it to win it and I am not given up on me.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
