So here I am, hitting the restart button. Getting my butt in gear and getting serious about being healthy again. I ran my first 1/2 marathon in October of 2009 which was awesome! And I have signed up for another this May. I am not doing my regular classes for the next few months and I am planning on focusing on my running. I still work out at home and make sure I get sweaty at least once a day.
My husband has recently hopped on the band wagon, so Im really looking forward to reaching our goals together.

Ok... I crapped out on myself this winter.
The weather was SO cold, I was just back to work after being off for a year on Maternity leave and it was dark when I got up in the morning and dark at the end of the day, plus we had record amounts of that lovely white stuff... I just couldn't motivate myself to get out and RUN!
I did keep up on my step/yoga/strength training classes, but it's just not the same. I managed to pack on a few extra pounds, and now... here I am STARTING FRESH & LOOKING FORWARD. I have decided to complete a half marathon this fall and I'm more determined then ever!
The spring weather is giving me the itch to get out there and run and Im looking forward to getting back that hour of ME time that I look forward to SOOO much! I have a plan, I have all the capabilities... there is nothing that can stop me now!

January 2009
Well after reaching my goal in June... I put the Spark Community on the back burner. I've done o.k. though I'm only 5lbs above my goal and I'm o.k. with it.
I did well at my Duathlon coming in nearly 2 minutes under my goal. It was great! I'm still doing well... keeping up with step, yoga & strength classes, plus running when I can find the time.
I'm determined to keep up with spark and keep my head on straight. I've set a new goal to lose 10 - 15 more lbs... (but I am afraid that my love affair with all things food (and wine) may get in my way) It's more of a "would be nice" sort of goal.
And I may even try to do a 1/2 marathon sometime this fall. ?! Maybe !?

July 2 2008
I DID IT! I reached my goal weight on June 23rd 2008! I still have more weight that I'd like to lose, but am more than happy with where I am at.

I am continuing to train for my Duathlon on July 19th and a newly planned 10k in October (for my 25th B-day)!

FEBRUARY 2008 : I'm 24 and plan to be back at 125lbs this summer (no specific date though)and just get healthy all around. In the last 2 years I have lost 25lbs, ran my first Duathlon, got married, quit smoking, gained 20lbs back, had a baby, gained another 15lbs, started back into my pre-pregnancy exercise routines and have been making some great progress since starting on January 1st. Its been a bit of a roller coaster, but I'm on track and moving full steam ahead!
I am currently participating in Step, Aerobic, Yoga, Pilates, Kickboxing and Strength classes as well as running. I will be training for another duathlon and 10k run this summer later this spring.
