I started this to lose weight for my wedding in April 2008- but it has turned into a lifestyle of health and fitness.

I was always the girl who could eat anything and never worry- then I turned 30. Gaining the "happy weight" from romantic dinners and lazy weekends with my hubby packed on more pounds than I was comfortable with. By my wedding in April '08 I was 5 lbs off my goal-but felt great. Then the summer saw most of my hard work go by the wayside and I was struggling with that last 5-7 lbs.

It's a daily choice to get up and workout, not eat that 5th mini candy bar. And frustration abounds because i feel like the queen of plateaus. Until recently, I thought putting in a "workout" was a yoga routine and leisurely walk of the dog and that was going to do everything for me. I started a Couch to 5K November 2, 2008 and suddenly the lightbulb went off-sweat will get results!

So now that baby time is right around the corner- I'm back in my old size 4's and the scale numbers are only a few pounds from what used to be my goal. I plan to relax and maintain.

Ok- so I spend most of my time on BabyFit, but have the iPhone app for SparkPeople. I'm within 10 lbs of my pre-baby weight and almost done with another C25K. Feeling good about being a fit mom! (3/24/10)
